    Kamala Harris
To be annoying and nitpick slightly, Lichtman did get Bush/Gore wrong, predicting Gore. But that race was so close as to be basically a statistical tie, which is why it came down to the minutiae of confusing ballot papers in specific Florida districts, so his run is still impressive.

I've been anticipating his prediction and it's really encouraging that he has predicted Harris.

Here is some of his rationale:

“Looking ahead to November, eight of the keys favor Harris, while three do not, Lichtman said. The final two keys — foreign policy success and failure — could go either way but won’t sway the final outcome, he added.

“‘Foreign policy is tricky and these keys could flip,” he told The New York Times. “The Biden administration is deeply invested in the war in Gaza, which is a humanitarian disaster with no end in sight. But even if both foreign policy keys flipped false, that would mean that there were only five negative keys, which would not be enough for Donald Trump to regain the White House.” "

"the 14 year old suspect would be charged with murder and tried as an adult". Why's that?

Trumps documents case that was shunted by corrupt Judge Cannon is currently going through the process of being restarted and it isn't going well for Trumps defense including the above misstep where his team accidentally seem to reveal Justice Thomas committed the impeachable offence of directly liaising and interfering with the case.

Because being 14 you should f'ing know that killing someone is not okay. I mean, this isn't some low level crime like shoplifting of street brawling.
Weren't those two kids in the UK who threw the toddler Jamie Bulger (sp) in the the canal tied as adults back in the late 90s? I know they both got life but we're eventually pardoned from what I remember reading a few years back.
IMO, this would be doing the world a favour.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be. Just wondering how it works. Is there a line of serious crime where suddenly they should know it's wrong? Shoplifting too young to know better. Shooting spree definitely evil.

I don’t think anyone is going to defend shooting up a school. A 14 year old is still not an adult so why is it a country can have laws for prosecuting children and then just decide not to use them? Is there a system here? Is it specifically for certain crimes?

I thought in the US they were held in jouvie for crimes serious enough then tried as an adult for it when they hit 18? I may be mistaken on that.

It appears that the father is also under arrest now as well and being tried.

And there we have it. Video Games to blame: "Officials say the threats were made on Discord, a social media platform popular with video gamers, and contained images of guns."
Colin Gray is accused of knowingly allowing his son access to a gun used to kill two teachers and two students in Georgia.

Wow, FBI already alerted local police to threats made by the boy, local police visited the house, boy says account hacked, dad says yes loads of guns in the house but son won't use them, all fine, nothing to see here.

This has happened a few times before and I have very mixed feelings on it. Being completely honest, I don't know enough about how they got the convictions and how they made it stick so maybe there is a clear case in each instance. But part of me, like trying kids as adults, worries that it's essentially revenge convictions to avoid tackling the actual issues. Again, not to suggest anyone should go easy on these crimes or to defend the crimes. But something doesn't sit right for me.

Anyway, bottom line is their approach simply doesn't work. This never ends.

You are not the only one. Legal Eagle has a video on the subject.
