It was frustrating because the Government loved using the Ukraine and the Pandemic as convenient scapegoats as to why the economy was tanking and there was no food in the shops and everyone started striking.

2023 - A Decade On, The US Trade Deal Vanishes and Support For the EU Overtakes Those Against It
The Tories remain dominated by those either dead set against any connection to the EU or those too fearful of raising pro-EU relations, leaving the nation in a situation where it lacks positive trade deals with any major countries. If in power, do you believe Labour could get away with a closer relationship with the EU or is it still a poison pill to the public?

Whilst I think rejoining the EU is off the cards, it feels that we've entered a safe enough space now for the majority of the public to openly accept a much more alligned trade and movement deal with the EU if the benefits were clearly communicated. If immigration figures were brought down at the same time (surely not that hard given where the Tories have left them) it would be hard for hardline Brexiteers to get a vocal soapbox up and running

• Pre-brexit - majority of immigration to the UK from outside Europe. 200,00 Per Year
• post-brexit - majority of immigration to the UK from outside Europe, 600,000 Per Year
conclusion
• We've not cut immigration
• We've Lost out massively with trade.
