Public Services and inequality weren't like this under the last Labour Government, they just weren't. Playing the whataboutery game conveniently allows the narrative to be reframed in a way that absolves the Tories.
It obviously isn't a one-party issue but the destruction of our public services and the gross inequality that is now leading to living standards falling to the point of the next generation being worse off than their parents is down to this Government and that's a fact.
Nobody would be playing whataboutery if this was the end result of fourteen years of Labour or the Lib-Dems in power. They would be made to own the mess so let's stop trying to avoid placing the blame where it rightfully lies.
