I wonder if potential buyers had expressed a desire that him and his backroom staff were sorted and removed before they come in.

Dalglish & Rush is an interim measure until a new buyer is found and in and they can bring in their own person.

This isn't purely a footy decision to my mind, though he does deserve the sack alone for that in my eyes.

Unfortunately, it actually seems to be because he had a fall-out with Christian Purslow, who has been briefing against him in the press long before we finished 7th.

There is now no senior employee at the club who is not one of the American's boys.

I would expect a major criteria for the new boss would be to adopt a yes-man mentality, agreeing to things like selling major players and not using all the money to replace them and shutting up about it. If Torres and/or Gerrard are indeed sold off, I would be absolutely gob-smacked if even 60% of that money was used to sign replacements.

As for potential buyers - as long as the club is being valued at almost double what it is realistically worth, I don't think there is going to be a great deal of movement on that front.

Also on the "lost the dressing room" front that a few 'experts' are knocking out, Tony Barrett (one of the only reliable journos on things LFC) has pretty much rubbished this today. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see some players (Mash in particular) follow him to Inter.

I'm hoping that all the players will stay. I'm thinking Gerrard and Torres may stick it out another season, dependent on who we get in as manager and how we get on.

Mash will probably leave as his wife has not settled (so I've read elsewhere).

Irrespective of that, for me, and as Carra has also said, 'if you don't want to play for us, then do one'.

Liverpool FC have been here long before, and will be here long after, any superstar that graces the Anfield pitch.

      Our time will come again.

      YNWA.

Mirror Exclusive: Liverpool Consider Shock Move For Redknapp

I'm trying to work out who would be more annoyed by that move, Liverpool fans or Spurs fans? Total bullplop I'm sure, but let the constant rumours and crazy stories commence!

I would stop going to the match.

Utter and complete bull****. They couldn't even get a quote from a vague connection to the club or him. The article is padding for a headline pulled out of their arse.

Why would he go to Liverpool? A team not in the champions league, in danger of going into a downward spiral with fans indifferent to him vs a team in the champions league, is on the up and has fans that like him?

No? Surely not! This has truly shattered my previously unshakeable faith in the integrity and accuracy of British tabloid journalism

So Liverpool FC is up for sale – not just the minority stake that the club’s reviled owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett , had placed on t...

                    Good article that...

I for one am disgusted at the last days events, I know the Rafa haters feel this is his commupence and I personally have always defended him (sometimes blindly) but this is about more than one man, its about an ethos being eroded, Rafa had Liverpools best interests at heart, do the rest of the powers that be?

Who is going to want to go into a perceived culture of backstabbing and outright lies?

the swiss ramble article on why nobody will invest in Everton may cheer a few of you lot up, its a brilliant hatchet job on the finances and prospects for the Blue half of the city

I'd like to think the fans involved with this were incredibly naive about the symbolism of burning a countries flag, especially the US'. Not going to do the public image of their cause a huge amount of good.

So, Rafa has a new job then. Pretty tough ask to follow the last campaign at Inter, but I hope he does well. Hopefully we'll get decent money for Mascherano and whoever else he decides to take with him.
