    Significant step backwards.

I like the guy, but I'm not sure I like how the guy sets out his teams. Would like a more attacking system.

Sky Sports are linking us with Frank Rijkaard.

Yeah, his usual 4-4-1-1 at Fulham was pretty cautious, away from home especially when it was more 4-5-1. A big fan of two deep midfielders too, which is something a lot of the Rafa-bashers seemed to hate (for reasons unknown, as a lot of top teams set-up that way).

          Would prefer Pellegrini personally...

No disrespect to Liverpool fans but if Hodgson has "signed" for you guys, I'll have lost all respect for him...I thought he was an intelligent man.

However, excellent manager who could probably steady the ship for you.

              +1

Willing to bet that such an appointment would almost certainly spell the end for Steven & Fernando at the Club...

Rafa was on Radio City yesterday. You can listen to the interview here from tomorrow.

Purslow basically screwed him over. Chances are they'll edit it before it airs again on Saturday.

Heres a brief exceprt from it.

                  *edit*

turns out it was poorly sourced rubbish

I'd have much preferred Dalglish. That was the era I supported them, before I fell out with club football. Would have been both funny and interesting seeing him back in charge.

Woy has officially been unveiled. Wish him all the best with the coming season. Lets hope he can improve player morale and consolidate our position within the European places.

He supposedly has 15mil guaranteed transfer funds. I thought the club had nothing until players were sold. Also, Murphy and Hangeland are touted to be targets of his. Murphy is over the hill and Hangeland isn't required with Agger, Skrtel and Carragher first choice. Ayala is also improving lots according to McMahon.

Good luck to him, he's going to need it.

He seems to be saying the right things in the interview on the official site, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and back him just hope he can keep the squad together, sounds like Benny is definitley off though.

If we can secure Gerrard and Torres, I will be very happy.

I wish Roy all the best.
