Julius Caesar was addressing the crowd in the Coliseum. "Friends, Romans and Countrymen, lend me your ears. Tomorrow I take our glorious army to conquer Northern Europe and I shall start with France. We shall kill many Gauls and return victorious."

The crowd are up on their feet "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, hail mighty Caesar"

Brutus turns to his mate and says " He doesn't half talk some ****e eh? He couldn't fight his way out of a wet parchment bag."

Six months later, Caesar comes back having conquered France and addresses the crowd in the Coliseum. " Friends, Romans and Countrymen, I have returned from our campaign in France and as I promised, we killed 50,000 Gauls".

The crowd is up on their feet again. "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, hail mighty Caesar".

Brutus once again turns to his mate "I'm sick of his bull-****, I'm off to France to check this out." So Brutus sets of for France and three weeks later he comes back to Rome.

Caesar is addressing the public in the Coliseum again "Friends, Romans and Countrymen, tomorrow we set off for Britain and we are going to sort those bastards out"

The crowd is up on their feet. "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees, hail mighty Caesar"

Brutus jumps up and shouts, "Caesar, you are a liar. You told us that you had killed 50,000 Gauls in France but I've been there to check it out and you only killed 25,000!!!!"

The crowd is stunned and all sit down in silence.

Caesar gets up and looks slowly round the Coliseum then across at Brutus and says, "Brutus, you are forgetting one thing... Away Gauls count double in Europe."

Good win at the weekend, but we looked dodgy again at the back. I know Carragher was missing, but still. Really hope Agger is back soon, him and Carragher are normally pretty rock solid together and we need that coming to the business end of the season.

Speaking of defenders... Rafa's apparently sniffin' around Rafinha, the Brazilian RB for Schalke 04.

A £5million summer move is thought to be being discussed, and the player himself has now admitted that he would be interested in making the switch to Anfield.

"Liverpool is a top destination," he said.

"If a move would suit Schalke as well as myself, we can discuss it."

This whole DIC thing looks set to drag on, apparently there isn't a time limit and Gillett (I think) valued the whole thing at a billion!

Really getting annoyed by all of this now, when Hicks & Gillett came aboard it was heralded as a fantastic thing, we've signed Torres, Mascherano, and Skrtel so funding has been ok. I think they need time.

I honestly believe the media coverage has started all of this, so what if they sniffed around other managers i'm sure it goes on all the time...of course it could have been handled better but there does seem to be a media leaning to unsettling us...I still feel the main reason for our poor form is Paco going on 'gardening leave' and Rafa trying to spin too many plates, but this has hardly been mentioned. YNWA

Decent stuff last night.
I hope we've finally settled on a system now, this 4-2-3-1 (or whatever you want to call it) really seems to get the most out of Babel, Torres & especially Gerrard.

Actually really looking forward to going to the game on Saturday for the first time in a while, rather than just going out of habit.

We'll probably lose now :P

It focuses on Torres' inpact, his new life in Liverpool and also features a meeting between Torres, Dalglish, Souness and Sammy Lee (who speaks Spanish!).
