Looking forward to it. Should be a cracker of a game. Gotta watch out for Kun. In fact all their attacking players are very talented individuals. Is Maxi Rodriguez still there?

Got off me arse and checked Maxi is still there AND I think he is out injured and so are goalkeeper Coupet, defender Ujfalusi and Kun could start on the bench due to not being fully fit.

        You've outdone yourself, smurf.

Rarely have I heard such rubbish on this forum.

Nu, I don't think that he has outdone himself at all. He is just coasting along - that is PAR for the course.

I'm sure you lot don't need reminding but you lot need to watch out for Diego Forlan - he is a dangerous striker who'll pounce on any goalkeeping errors

He's a world class striker, no doubt. He's excellent in PES too.

In the Premiership he was more miss than hit but to be fair, he didn't play regularly enough. He has definitely been a hit in La Liga though.

I reckon you lot will win. Benitez's knowledge of Spanish football is obviously sound. And if you lot can beat Barca on their own turf then, then you can do the same in Madrid.

I dunno. It's going to be tough to get a win there. A draw would be decent. A win would be fantastic, like

                  That Barca win was mad!

Our group is so split (first and second compared to third and fourth), so be quite happy with a point tonight, then three in the return leg

Here's how we line up tonight...

Reina, Arbeloa, Dossena, Carragher, Agger, Mascherano, Alonso, Gerrard, Riera, Benayoun, Keane.

Subs: Cavalieri, Lucas, Babel, Darby, Pennant, Kuyt, Aurelio

If we had strong wingbacks I'd be fairly confident.

Thought we played okay tonight. Shame we couldn't keep that lead. Sounded like our players were nackered by half-time with key players Keane, Gerrard and Alonso all coming off early. Defo would of took the draw before the game.

Decent result, two hardest games out of the way and we're in a good position.

Someone please tell Benayoun to shoot every now and then. I rate Yossi as a player, but the man needs 9 touches before he's prepared to have a dig.

I agree. He was so frustrating to watch tonight.

Keane is so much better when he is forced to not think. He thinks he is "clever" and spends so long looking for the clever pass that he messes it up. Give him no choice as tonight and xabi's pass for the cross to torres a few weeks backi and he will do it. Time seems to be hisd enemy.

So, just like watching Luis Garcia when he played for us, then?
