Actually no, not that frustrating. Luis was frustrating nearly all the time... and then he'd display a moment of greatness.

Was Garcia frustrating when he played up front? I don't think so at all - he was v frustrating when he was made to go back (defence) but he was fine later - in his last season, he was totally fine.

Those "moments of greatness" weren't often enough, sadly.

In the slower pace of the Champions' League (especially the run to Istanbul), he was immense. But in the PL, Liverpool with Luis Garcia was like (with all respect due to the little man) playing with 10 - 10.5 men at times. He made cheaply giving away the ball to the opposition an artform.

Sorry, can't agree at all. I can't recall (in 20-odd years of watching football) seeing a supposed "flair" player more careless with the ball in his possession than Luis. He scored spectacular goals in Europe and was obviously a huge factor in us winning #5, but he lacked the consistency and the ability to do the basic things right (surely first priority for the top flair players today, no?). In the Prem, he was often non-existent.

He wouldn't get anywhere near the current Liverpool first XI - fact.

Have to agree, some bloody good goals but gave the ball away too easily.

1-0. Alonso with a deflected shot

Would be great to end Chelsea's 85 game unbeated home run in the Preimer League today

Starting to get nervy now, shame Alonso's free kick didn't go in, I/we could have breathed a lot more easily.

Sounds like plenty of cards are being shown, be surprised if there are still 22 players on the park come full time.

I was expecting Chelsea to really take the game to you lot in the 2nd half but it hasn't happened so far. You lot are containing them fairly well.

Well done for beating Chelsea and ending their home record. You lot look like genuine title contenders this season even though I hate to say it.
