Providing Insua stays fit, we should be okay. For the right side there is also Darby and Lord Degen

Rafa seems happy enough though. Not kicking off in the press etc. Maybe he already has some cover lined up? Well I hope so.

I'd bet everything I've got (which admittedly isn't much) on Degen getting injured before the season kicks off, that boy is made out of chopsticks.

I've been watching him during pre-season and he's always looking at his leg or jumping a little gingerly after kicking the ball or something.

Hey, I bought one of them All Red memberships from LFC site. Grants me access to match tickets before they go on general sale. So, I've decided I will go to at least one game a month. Starting with Stoke at home. Coolio!

I don't think we have that much to worry about at the back and I really think that a few players (youthful and not so youthful) will be more important this season.
Right-back, we have Johnson, Degen, Darby and Carra.
Left-back is Aurelio and Insua but Agger played there in pre-season too.

Players that will be more important this season as far as I can make out:
N'Gog, Voronin, Babel, Lucas.

I know a few of those players have been maligned but there has been progress from all of them.

Piece of piss. It wasnt even like I was waitingfor them to go on sale. I just saw the link on the official site whilst read news. Clicked it and had my ticket within minutes. Wasn't too many left, mind. This was yesteday.

Ah cool, that sounds OK then.
I think people were getting a bit paranoid about it...there are probably 1000's of people who will sign up and only bother applying for 1 or 2 games a season if that. I don't think peoples chances of getting tickets will drop that much.

I plan on trying to get to home matches that won't be on TV. Well at least one a month. Should be ace!

I think at left back we're OK as long as Aurelio keeps relatively injury free. At right back we've got a new signing, a kid, a crock and a (apparently) grumpy Carra who doesn't really fancy it out there anymore.

And I really hope people get off the backs of some of the fringe players, Lucas and Voronin especially who I don't think deserve anything like the grief they get off some fans. I reckon Voronin is a pretty good squad player, he can play up top, behind the striker or out wide and do you a decent job. Yeah, he's got a dodgy haircut but there you go.

The Express, who I actually trust re LFC, reckon Xabi is on his way too.

I think (hope?) Rafa has something big lined up...Silva?

But yeah, defence needs some reinforcement...

I really liked Arbeloa, no nonsense and professional always, 3.5 mill for a spanish international....not good (last year of contract though I suppose).

RE: Xabi this could be positive as the deal has been done independently whereas initially it was rumored to be a combined deal, I remain hopeful!

If Dossena goes (who has looked good in pre season) then we are definitely light at the back, we need another CB for sure...

3.5 is worryingly low.

Could be he was high wages or they have a direct replacement lined up mind.

He could've agreed a free transfer in January, so there's not much room to negotiate.

3.5 is almost twice what we paid. I am disappointed to see him go as I think his partnership with the centre back and with Dirk was good. Doubt he is on great wages - he was pretty much a nothing la liga player when we signed him.

smurf, i think his replacement has already been signed btw.

Rumours going around that the Dossena to Napoli deal could get us first dibs or something on Hamsik. Now that lad is class.
