Yeah, hope he doesn't get crunched out of action any time soon.

He seems to like to turn 180 degrees like he's in Resi 4. Did it last week and today.

Torres has been crap for over a year now. Suarez has had a brilliant season, and a very good World Championship. Not too surprised that he performs well and that panic purchase Torres keeps on sucking tbh. He came to the Eredivisie at the age of 19 and he adapted right away. It was impressive for such a youngster from the other side of the world. He's our clubs best player since Robben.

He went to Ajax, and adapted right away yet again. Also scored during his first match. I believe he scored at his Liverpool debut too. And if you saw his hand ball against Ghana, its pure determination right there.

He's strong, dirty, has skill, eye for teammates, winning mentality... I don't see a reason why he would fail.

        Kinda gutted about the result.

It was good because the Mancs lost, but it was equally as bad because the Scouse Scum went back up to sixth above Bolton.

I still think come the end of the season we'll still be there or there abouts.

If You lot won the Europa League and Spudz won the CL would that open up another Euro spot for 7th in the league?

Rather be Scouse than a person from Bolton. Cheers.

            Nice show of restraint there.

Well, yeah. People from Bolton don't even have a nickname.

Well that was a dreary performance. Funny to see Hugo V again though.

The players were asleep, Anfield was asleep and I was asleep!

Cole looked poor, again...and that was the most uninspiring Liverpool bench I have ever seen.

On a positive note: Suarez and Carroll will be awesome together.

Might put money on Carroll scoring against Sunderland-old rivalries and all that.

                    I wouldn't Carroll won't start against sunderland.

He just played his first full 90 since coming back from injury.

As for last night's game, that was atrocious. There was nothing at all creatively. Braga parked the bus and there was nothing Liverpool could do about it. Well done braga.

I said this in the Spurs thread in regards to Liverpool's resurgence and possible challenge for a top 5 finish: they're still very thin up front. That was amply demonstrated yesterday where they barely made a chance for themselves in the 90+ minutes of my life I wasted watching them on ITV last night.

Cole has been hugely disappointing since his move to Liverpool, so glad now Spurs didn't try for him when he became available. Ngog and Kuyt are very average even at their best. The latter works hard but usually achieves little and against Braga yesterday both were giving the ball away at every opportunity.

As for Carroll - the great new hope. He looked out of his depth, he had no service and was easily neutralised by close marking.

In short: the Braga game showed that Kenny Dalglish has a long way to go in rebuilding the side into anything likely to be able challenge for the Premiership.

They weren't helped by the fact Suarez was cup-tied for the Europa because he'd already played in it for Ajax. Might've made a difference.

At present he's just a replacement for Gerrard and like him the only bright spark in a dull line up. He's doing the same job too, almost single handedly making them look good.

When he and Gerrard are available to play together though, that could well become the kernel of something more interesting.
