Under Hodgson the team were losing and playing terribly. Generally under Dalglish the team have played well but aren't getting the results. I would like to think thats progress compared with where they were before Dalglish came back.
Fair enough. I would agree they have been a tad better under Kenny but ultimately I still find Liverpool dull to watch. Without Suarez and Gerrard there is no creativity in the squad at all. Personally I think Kenny has spent a lot on a little and i'm not convinced he is the manager he was. Yes he galvanized the players early on, any legend would but I would look forward and not to the past if I was in charge.

Lol, okay. Typical side-stepping from those who use the hilariously lame "Roy Hodgson didn't get time at Liverpool" argument.

Get back at me when you can mark out tangible achievements from Woy.

Why not have a discussion than be an ignorant dismissive moron? I am interested in a perspective on the issues at Liverpool from fans of the club. Simple fact is, Roy didn't get anywhere near enough time. Things may have got better, they may not.

If West Brom win tomorrow they are just 3 points behind Liverpool with a much smaller squad. I would say that is decent. He also recently took Fulham to the UEFA cup final, again a good job.

Says the guy being abusive on here? How about you stop being a idiotic twat of a troll first?

Let me dumb it down for you: What has Roy Hodgson won, trophy-wise?

Forget it. I haven't trolled once. Pity you can't engage in conversation like Adrock can.

Yeah, because calling somebody an "ignorant dismissive moron" for no reason is engaging in conversation?

              Too funny.

I dont agree with the creativity issue with regards to Gerrard, he has been largely poor since his return and apart from odd flashes of brilliance has been nowhere near his consistent best and that is the main problem for Liverpool right now. They are dominating the majority of teams with their play and for that reason I certainly enjoy watching them immeasurably compared with Hodgson's team, who had Gerrard, Torres and Lucas at his disposal during his reign.

I do not believe Hodgson didn't get enough time, I think he should have never had the job. I may have even backed him for the job at the time (I cant remember), but it was clear right from beginning he was not the man for the job. One of his first interviews where he said he couldn't stop Torres being linked with Man U rather than rebutting it was like watching a car crash.

Did Fergie also accuse a Liverpool player of cheating? and Hodgson basically refused to speak out against him. All of that coupled with the turgid style he fostered at the club, which is his trademark, made it obvious he was the wrong appointment.

The day Hodgson made Paul Konchesky a Liverpool player was the day I knew he wasn't cut out for it

When you put it like that Adrock I can totally see your point. I do think Roy is a good manager but your reminders in the post above made it clear that he got things wrong. I was just shocked when a club that usually put up with so much got rid so quickly.

While things are a bit better under Kenny, I personally think that the money he has spent in the time that he has been there should have delivered much much more.

And Chris, with that comment you officially win this thread! I forgot about that!

'Forgetting' and 'erasing something from memory' isn't quite the same thing

On the topic of Kenny the jury is still out on him. His buys have been a mixed bag so far while players like Aquilani and Joe Cole have been shown the door without being given a proper chance in a red shirt. I'd sooner have those two in my team than Adam and Kuyt (who, when given a start these days, rarely performs).

Tactically I often find him puzzling. His use of Carroll is confusing. He leaves it too late it bring him on alot of the time and doesn't play him against teams that he would profit against (like Arsenal the other week, their back 4 hate nothing more than an aerial threat up top!). He often brings Carroll on only to move Downing to the right so he's crossing with his weaker foot so Carroll gets no service. He's played Suarez up top on his own too many times at home against 'lesser' teams against teams for my liking too.

On the plus side, we've won a cup, in the semi of another, he's blooded some of the youth team and he's done something to Skrtel to actually make him good so it's not all bad.

Carroll has had tons of chances, most of the time he has been rubbish and his lack of effort has been the starkest point I've witnessed. In recent month his effort has definitely been much much better. His main problem now is the lack of service he gets, even with Downing playing on either side his crossing has been substandard all season, as has Enriques.

As far as I'm aware Comolli is in charge of transfers, he pinpoints the players and basically Dalglish doesn't really have much input on how it goes, unless he simply cant work with the person. That would make sense if you look at the stats behind the players like Henderson, Downing, Adam and Enrique. Carroll was definitely a purchase that has to be seen as rushed for sure, for that reason the price was obviously astronomical.

Out of all of those signings Carroll and Adam are the two major worries. Adam's passing fits perfectly into the Liverpool mould but his lack of ability to get about the pitch and his incessant fouling is leading me to believe he cant make it at the level Liverpool require. Carroll has been discussed enough, I think.

Henderson I truly believe will be an excellent player. Downing has ability and Enrique has had a terrible second half of the season but I do think he can be a decent full back consistently.

"Quality" trolling from a Spurs fan. Great.

Kenny brings Liverpool their first trophy win in 6 years (with the possibility of a domestic cup double) and a return to European football and yet (according to Stoppy2000) he will leave in the summer? Why? because Liverpool haven't finished fourth or third in the League?
It's worth remembering that both ramos and George graham won the league cup at spurs. It's a trophy that only the people who win it remember. Kenny will leave before 2012 is out. Mark my words.

Deffo would give up the Carling cup for last 4 or 5 results we stood in doggy with.

A good day and cup win, but for me I would rather get in top four.

I think think some 'fans' are deluded. WE JUST LOST AT HOME TO WIGAN FFS!

Is that not a poor result? Does that not make you think what the hell is going on? I think a lot of fans were never expexcting us to win the league, or maybe just maybe not quite make top 4 knowing there was spurs in the mix as well. However, we're no better than mid table. Scored not many more goals than hodgson's west brom, and have a shocking, shocking home record.

                                Get a grip? You tool.
