Exactly, and that's when the ref doesn't miss things completely .. was it Adebayor (?) who should have been sent off twice in the Arsenal Middlesbrough game few weeks back yet got away scott-free.

Ooer, didn't we play poor in that second half against Derby? Giving the ball away far too easily. Twas mucho scrappy. Fair play to Gerrard and his run and persistence.

        3 points, just. Merry Xmas.

Rubbish in the second half. Lovely goal by Torres bu, watching Voronin and Babel flailing about today without any apparent awareness did not fill me with coonfidence.

Yeah, Torres goal was class. Video of it here

The Man City game wasn't the best, tbh. Both sides can play better, though after an hour or so it seemed like City were content with the draw. Had Rafa & the boys been a bit more daring the three points could've been there for the taking today in a game that we really needed to win. That said, both sides tired badly towards the end.

We haven't won away in the Prem against a top-four/five side under Rafa Benitez (unless I'm mistaken), and our home form against Man Utd, Arsenal & Chelsea hasn't been the greatest (especially this season). Until that trend is reversed, the title simply won't be returning.

Not counting games against pub-esque sides (Derby, Besiktas etc.) 2nd half today was probably our most dominant performance of the season, one way traffic for 45 minutes.

Yep, I was pleased with the way we played today, especially with the way Dunne and Hamman seemed to have things covered pretty well defensively for City, we created a good few chances and all with a great tempo.

It's just a shame we couldn't have nicked a goal at some point because we were good for it. I'll be almost pleased when we start to drop back a little further from the top 3 though, because then we won't have to have every match built up by the media each weekend as a "must win to keep in contention for the title" (how many times have we heard this??), because this year is, and always was going to be, a transitionary one.

I know this might sound a bit odd and deffinitley not somthing fans want to hear but I think youre wrong. Man City pretty much controlled the match IMO, they wanted a draw and they got one, their defence were on top every step of the way no matter what.

The current liverpool dosent have anything about them that make you belive they can overcome anything at all really, they have looked like they are running on empty for a while.

Playing for a draw at home is plop. Fair play to their defence. You won't see us turtling when they come to town.

You still never told me your team, rmoxon.

"overcome anything at all"? what a game in general? You're right, we've lost loads, we've scored hardly any goals. You make me laugh.

I thought City were awful at times, especially Richards (who should have been sent off for two blatant yellow cards and a terrible hair cut.)

Frustrating again to see us play a match with a bag full of shots, chances and domination for large parts of the game...

What pees me off even more is that the match for me finished about 3am so after watching us just come away with a point, I then had to go to bed with a frustrated mind

lol, I didnt want to tell you becuase I'm a Man U fan.

I meant I dont see any fight in Liverpool, I dont see the fight that was there when they won the chapmions league for instance, I just cant see them winning anything as they are right now. None of the players seem to care really. I have actualy stuck up for Benitez but latley I'm even starting to think myself that he isnt right for you anymore. He has managed to build one of, if not THE best squad in the premiership on paper IMO as far as all round tallent goes, and yet I am still rarely impressed watching them.

By overcoming anything, well I meant managing to win anything that is an actual challenge considering the players you have really.

I'm not really bothered if that makes you laugh, I still think I'm right.

You shouldn't be scared to tell me you're a Man U fan. I'm glad you're writing us off as I look forward to seeing you eat Fletcher's undies.

So then Pool fans, is Jordy Brouwer any good? There are rumours on some Swansea fan sites that he is coming on loan. We already have Paul Anderson who is fantastic.
