Anyway, I don't think it's a coincidence that the run of ****e form pretty much runs parallel with Rafa's position being undermined - I think a lot of the players know/think he's gone already and it's affecting them.

As for on the pitch Steven "I'm a central midfielder" Gerrard needs to play on the right. Looked much better when he drifted out wide & further forward after Xabi came one. With him there and Babel on the left, we might actually score some goals from midfield.

Also, the amount of ball we kick away from defence when Agger is not in the side is frightening. I hope this Skrtel can play a bit.

Also, also, that was actually one of our better showings at Boro. Normally really, really bad up there. At least we scored a goal.

YES. As much as I love Carragher & Sami, they both tend to hoof it out of defence. Sami especially - I honestly can't remember the last time I saw him play a ball along the ground - he always smacks it high, and normally to the opposition. Agger's return can't come soon enough.

To all those who think Rafa needs to go - who would you have instead?

What possible good does Hicks think making a comment like this could make?! Could he not just have kept this to himself, or is his intention to purposely piss Benitez off? That shows a massive lack of respect, and the owners needs to learn to keep their mouths from wagging in situations like this. Not good enough at all....

It's an absolute joke. It's great that they have given us the finanical backing we need for the stadium and transfers, but they seem to know absolutely nothing about running a football club. What possible good can come from this announcement? And who the heck thought Klinnsman would be a good idea in the first place?!

I really don't want Rafa to go, because I think he's (albeit slowly) getting things right. But I wouldn't blame him if he went now and wouldn't be surprised if some of our best spanish players like Torres and Reina up and left with him. Then we'd be in the sh*t and Gillett and Hicks might realise what muppets they're being.

I don't think they've actually given us anything of note yet.

It's looking worryingly like:
a. they've bitten off more than they can chew financially
and b. they don't know wtf they are doing with regards to footballing issues.

Daniel Agger has suffered a recurrence of the metatarsal injury which has kept him out since September.

lets hope Skrtel can get match fit soon.

Was a rumour doing the rounds recently that Agger's injury is potentially career threatening. Something to do with the bone not healing correctly...thought it was nonsense at the time, but it's getting a little concerning now.

The US team we have now have gien us nothing/v little. We dreamt of big buys but all we spent last season outside of that recouped was on Torres at about 20. He even took a pay cut apparently.
The stadium plans were chucked out and then redesigned (well) and shown to everyone. And then quietlydumped/dwngraded. We have a large amount of debt and the financial difficulties that banks have means the cost of that debt has grown.
Since Rafa met with them our performances have dropped off considerably with few chances created and a sluggishness that just was not there.
Rumours of DIC coming back please me as I think they see it as a football club and not a sports venture.
