He's too slow, too heavy, doesn't command his box and has no positional sense whatsoever. Against us (Bolton) on the opening day of the season Campo hit one from nearly the half-way line and he went down so slowly he couldn't get it, against Everton this season I saw him do the same from an Everton free-kick.

You could say that second goal was unstoppable, but why was he so far off his line for it?

Micah Richards is excellent, so quick so strong. He looked good last time he trotted out for England, looked AMAZING against Utd the other day...one positive that's for sure.

Just one of the players who has never been good enough for England and never will. Time for McClaren to get ruthless IMO, I would get rid of:
Dyer
Brown
Robinson
Defoe
and maybe even Carrick

Richards was superb and was our best outlet in the first half. No surprise then that McClaren put him in the centre and put the abysmal Wes Orange on at RB. I know Richards probably is better at centre back but we are in desperate need in a right back who can get up and down the pitch all day, especially when Beckham plays for himself as usual and constantly drifts inside. Richards was the main positive from tonight, Joe Cole was decent, and I thought Barry and SWP did well when they came on. The less said about that fat waste of space in goal the better...

We created quite a few chances tonight but we lack the necessary composure/ruthlessness to be successful against semi decent teams or better. I can remember Fat Frank missing 2 good chances, Owen missing 2 (including an open goal pretty much), Dyer missing a sitter. Not sure who I'd play up front next match - Owen needs match fitness, Smith battled hard but doesn't get into enough good positions, Crouch was poor and suspended vs Israel, Defoe will never be good enough, Rooney injured etc.
I can honestly see us not qualifying this time.

Just got back from the game and it was a laugh....mostly at the England's expense. Atmosphere was great, as you would expect from an England vs Germany game....shame about the result. England were in charge of the game until Robinson made that horrible mistake. From then on everything just looked disjointed and forced. Still gotta love those "even Heskey scored, 5-1" chants
