If that challenge was close to a "no-booking" then I will eat my hat (don't actually wear one though). That was a stonewall booking, according to the FA rules the red card (even though it was probably wrong) should have stood. I hope the FA show this kindness to everyone now though

they've already shown the kindness by not sending off a couple of players for similar offences that WERE red cards. Although the match was beyond city by that point, chelsea did still have to play with 10 men.

ezee, i used the comparative. As a challenge it IS closER to a no-booking than a straight red. This is bizarre cos I don't even like Terry but I do like Vidic! I don't think anyone doubts it should have been a yellow but not a straight red. Its not like he elbowed someone in the head!! (j/k)

Ferguson is now whining about Terry being able to play, saying that a Man U player would never get let off a red card. Seems to be a bit blind to vidic getting a yellow for a clear red card offence and the animal scholes who has been doing appauling tackles for years with minimal punishment ('that's our scholes!' as Andy Gray would say)

Smurfy Obi Mikel and Essien amongst other Chelsea players get away with naughty tackles all the time and i would say that by far your lot are a one of the dirtiest teams in the prem..
