Just seen the Bolton game on MOTD. Bolton had two chances at 0-0 they could've scored and changed the game but other than that, we were awesome.

That fourth goal was great to watch.

Drogba must be in with a good shout for world player of the year based on this form.

Haven't seen the penalty, so just wondering if it was one, and if Samuel should have gone?

We always roll over against big teams though, so I wouldn't get too carried away, although you are in excellent form!

EDIT: Seen the pen now, pretty much a pen, though you see them not given sometimes, but my word how much of a meal of it did Drogba make? He made damn sure Samuel went didn't he! Even after Lampard scored I felt the celebration was a bit subdued.

Looking at the replay it looked like he accidentally trod on Drogba's ankle as he went down which probably explains why he made a big deal out of it.

Not a great performance but a point is good enough.

I would be very happy if we got Aguero if he plays like that for us.

I'm actually questioning the sense in doing this.

The general consensus is that the ban is going to be reduced to a single transfer window. Deferring it in this way means that instead of missing the January transfer window (which is generally considered the poorer of the 2 windows) they are now looking like missing the main summer window following a World Cup.

Seems a little short-sighted to me but I presume Chelsea know what they are doing.

There's always a chance the charges will get thrown out which would mean Chelsea were punished for nothing. Not to mention the ACON hurts us far more than most teams (drogba, essien, kalou). Gives us a chance to recall players on loan and buy a player or two to shore up the team a bit.

Been far more attacking than Man U, think we've a good shot at getting the winner although Man U are just waiting for us to overstretch so they can counter.

Ballack and ivanovich haven't been great the first half (not a huge surprise). Thought Alex was fit, not sure why he's not on the pitch.

1-0 from a questionable free kick but it came minutes after Drogba got a yellow for almost having his ribs broken (gonna be an impressive bruise from that).

Wasn't a great game, Man U played to neutralise our attack and maybe get something on the counter and did it fairly successfully. The result probably flatters us a bit but it was the type of game that could've easily gone either way.

Ref was incredibly poor. Evans by the rules of the game should've got a red (understand the yellow though). Drogba got a high foot in the chest and gets a yellow to go with the bruise and possibly cracked ribs . Free kick was dodgy but the goal deserved to stand. Couple of bad corner decisions also affected us. The focus will be on the free kick decision but there were plenty of bad ones that could've cost just as much.

Loved the way Drogba wriggled whilst on his back like he was suffering with serious head trauma lol. The guy is a bell.

Yeah. I felt sorry for the guy as he got a kick in the chest that must have hurt and got booked for it but his reputation clearly preceded him there. If anyone else in the ground was on the floor displaying symptoms like that they'd have been rushed to hospital but at the time I just wrote it off as lolDrogba.
