      Cracking penalty to win.

Well done to Uruguay, happy for Forlan.

      However, come on Holland.

Kept in the game by a last minute handball off the line and a saved penalty!

You don't get much more dramatic than that.

Now THAT was what the tournament was missing.

          Real drama!

Yeah it IS cheating. That would just be a goal. Now, Ghana had to redo it via the penalty spot and thats never easy.

But Uruguay just lost half of their scoring ability for the semis. I did hope Luis would play against us though, our club is proud of him making it on this stage.

Holland should be able to defeat them if no nasty surprises happen. But Brazil should've been able to beat us.

Maybe it's time to revise the rules and if you stop a certain goal with your hands, just give a goal.

Cracking, dramatic match though, but a real shame for Ghana as they should have been celebrating a last minute winner to get through to the semi-finals.

I think in that situation it should still be a red card for the person that handballs it and a penalty only without the Goalkeeper in the goal when the penalty is taken as he had already been beaten when Suarez handballed it.

I think every player would do the same as hand ball it on the line to keep it out, maybe the player getting sent off has to be the keeper for it?

Haha, imagine that. A pen with no keeper in :S

Nope, it's not cheating. Suarez got a red card and Ghana had the chance to win. Unfortunately, Gyan missed the penalty. This is what the World Cup is about, pressure situations and moments. On this occasion Ghana (more specifically, Gyan) couldn't deal with said pressure. That is the harsh truth.

Ghana can at least go out with their heads held high unlike certain teams.

Indeed, they had a very good World Cup campaign.

Also, people forget that Uruguay should have had a penalty earlier in the game. It was a clear cut foul but the referee failed to spot it.

Thats what I was thinking, just give the goal. It would be a 100% goal but with Handball the 'losing' team still has a final straw even though they lose a player.

A penalty under this unimaginable pressure is never a 100% goal.

Red and a goal. A handball should never been rewarded like this.

Can only echo DRAMATIC!. I'm sticking with Argentina, but, it really is anyones.

I think that is true from all the 1st 2nd and 3rd, shocks all around.

The World cup needed a match like this...shame it was in the latter stages.

Germany v Argentina can provide even more drama. The last time they met in the World Cup, there was a mass punch up at the end of the game! And then there was the 1990 Final with red cards and dives galore.
