His top 5 flops of the season:

    1. Mario Balotelli
    2. Jordan Henderson
    3. Benni McCarthy
    4. Santa Cruz
    5. Joe Cole

Interesting. There's a name there that sticks out a mile and reeks of ignorance. Why he's got our player in there is unfathomable. I can think of half a dozen bigger flops at our joint alone. The twat says that he hasn't kicked on after his England debut. What? Kicked on how? He was poor in that game against France, but played totally out of position. He has been very average in the second half of this season, but we're talking about a 20 year old here in his second Premiership season.

He is a flop by what criteria? Transfer fee? Expectation? He cost nowt. The expectaton was engineered by media hype in their age-old method of 'hype-em-up, knock-em-down'. His hack cronies are the men who fuelled this. I'm leaning towards the idea after this season that he'll be a decent Prem player, but an international future is highly questionable. That still doesn't constitute a 'flop'. What a cockchower Cascarino is. Where are the bigger flops in that list? Torres - 50 million! (oh yeah, sorry, Cascarino played for Chelsea, didn't he? Funny that) Ireland - two clubs and ****e/injured for both! (Ah, he played for Villa too! And he loves lumping in the Mags with ManU, Chelsea and Arsenal even though they've been nowhere near for years) There's even a case for players like Dzeko and Chamakh to be labelled bigger flops. I 'get' that adjustment to the league is often necessary, but they've both hardly showered themselves in glory considering their pricetags. Bebe - the same age as Henderson and what-his-transfer-fee-was more expensive. Gudjohnsen? 9 appearances this year for two teams, and no goals.

Also, where are the other 'media hyped' youth players who haven't pressed on this year? The ones who aren't regulars for their first team? What a tosser.
While putting him at number 2 is harsh to say the least I can see why someone would consider him a flop, Last season people were expecting him to relaly push to be a regular in the England squad this season, his potential seems to have fizzled out a bit, the last time I saw him play for his club he looked a bit out of his depth in all honesty.

Having said that hes probabaly just had a poor season, people were probabaly just expecting him to flourish too soon.

I agree about Dzeko, that guy seems to have been a horrible signing, has he even scored a league goal yet? hes been worse than Torres, who I agree could also be considered a flop, possibley the biggest considering he cost alot more than anyone in that list.

Last season hardly anyone had heard of him, so talk of England was minimal at best. Nobody with any sense thought he'd be an England regular this season - he'd only just got into the U21 side last year (only six games for them). He had a good start to the season and was picked too soon as part of the clamour to flush the World Cup failures. He'd only played 40-odd first team games at that point.

He's been arsed around this year, positionally. Last season he played wide right and earned some small plaudits. This season he has played centrally in front of Cattermole. Muppet Show expected him to play an unfamiliar holding role. No wonder he sucked. Then he played wide right on Saturday vs Wigan and he scored two.

I'll not deny that he's had a bit of a sophomore season and endured a steep learning curve. That doesn't mean he's been a 'flop'. Like many players for many teams, he's had an iffy season. He's not been in the same flopping league as some of the mega-buy big-bollock Charlies. To consider him a flop is misguidedly tapping into hype that was misplaced to start with, and to label him the league's number 2 flop is outright stupid. Positioned ahead of a man who got the boot for being fat. Ludicrous.

          BBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

          Fat Useless Mag bastard

          A scandalous result.

          BRUCE OUT!!!!!

Twat, he's about to enter his third year here and he has NO central spine to the club... look at this - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/foo...gs-summer.html

Useless tosser! Worst manager in the Prem, for the resources at his disposal. What other manager gets so little out of so much money? Terrible, terrible manager. The 0 goals accounts for the lack of strikers, but what is the excuse for the 3 conceded?

Another joke of a decision Kalou offside but not spotted by the same official who gave the ball over the line decision.

He'll blame injuries. When Eric Black and Bruce were at Birmingham we seemed to have an injury crisis.

                  Speaking of joke decisions...

Vidic should've given away a penalty and been sent off for that handball.

Some great challenges by Chris Foy there. He's very skilled in incercepting the ball when Arsenal are on the break.

Have to admit, I chuckled a bit when the stoke supporters started singing Swing low sweet chariot after scoring against Arsenal.

Odemwingie is surely the buy of the season. 15 odd goals in less that 30 starts (I think) at around a million. Bargain.

Odemwingie has been a fixture of my Fantasy League team all season, one of the most consistent point scorers I've got.

What on earth is going on with Arsenal today though? I guess there's no real difference for them between 3rd and 4th, but 2nd is (well, was) an option and that cuts you out a two-legged qualifier in late August.

Just had a bash at the BBC score predictor for the rest of the season, and according to my crystal ball Wigan, West Ham and Blackpool get relegated. Blackburn survive on goal difference FFS. Will be an intriguing last few games down at the bottom whatever happens.

I thought only 4th place needs to play a qualifier now? Or was that just this season?
