Ah well, Bruce's Insomnia pigeons came home to roost yesterday.

Two years he's faffed around, pussyfooting around a bid, while Zog has got better and better, inflating his value. Suddenly he's priced out of a buy, and we're about to enter an astonishing THIRD straight year without a left back AND/OR a left winger.

I would have though Lardo Bruce would know all about the need for width.

Speaking as a mag I must agree with the below completely. I did go to matches since I was 4 (1984) and remember them days nowadays I save my money as cannot condone what they do on and off the pitch plus the post 1992 lot are not worth ****e to talk to. One day when they get rid of the rapists and thugs (and that includes who is on the pitch) I may consider going again but for now and the last few. years it has been an embarrassment to say they are the team I follow

Poor Chung Yong Lee, he has been an excellent player for Bolton recently. He was also beginning to attract better teams too. Nine months out is a long time.

Devastated by it. The tackle was horrendous, and just not something you can do in this day and age...such was the velocity. I just pray Lee comes back the same player, as he's a huge huge talent.

We just brought in Eagles as cover for either wing, and now we need cover for the cover.

With Chung-Yong and Holden out, our season is looking decidedly worrying.

Yeah, some 'friendly'. Proper vicious 'tackle' - High, fast, no real intent to get the ball.

It's the reason I don't agree with playing amateur teams in pre-season. Incidents like this are bound to happen. It really is a shame as the lad has so much promise yet will now miss an entire season due to some part timers reckless lunge. I think only the severity of the injury distracted the ref from sending the **** straight off.

I like Wilkins as a co-commentator. Alan Smith makes me want do a poo in a corner like a scared bear.

I seem to recall Wilkins being a short-lived meme on twitter for saying something over and over again in a co-commentary not long back, possibly something like "stay on your feet."

It was probably after the Real Madrid vs Spurs match last season. Every five seconds he kept saying that Spurs players needed to "Stay calm" and "Stay on their feet". He got on my nerves a bit that night (although the result may have played a part in my mood ) but in general I agree with Hoolak, I quite like him as a co-commentator.
