Yeah it really looked like that. Players have far too much money and far too much power, Sky has poisoned our game from top to bottom, the only people who profit are vile media companies and even viler foreign owned papers.

There was precious little sign of these kernts running through walls when O'Neill was here. The only running involved takeaway dashes between wine bars, casinos and strip clubs.

You will be getting this removed then Prin?

Im annoyed I was enjoying the show over there, shame he couldn't hold on 4 more matches, you only needed that sack Joe Kinnear as Dof at Blunderland and it would have been perfect.... (For me )

....I'm only kidding I feel your pain, as I'm sure it will migrate 20 miles or so shortly to bite me in the arse

That tattoo is a shambles. The bast couldn't even get the order of the score correct.

Sorry van SKY did wonders for Football to bring into the modern age , get families back in the game and totally transformer football imagine in the UK. I agree that the players have far too much power and too much influence but to me I blame the Clubs CEO, the Players union and that piss poor ruling that was the Bosman

Football exists now for Sky not for footballs own sake, not for the good of the game. Huge debts from top to bottom with a spend not build culture. Teams have already spent season ticket money years in advance most of which gets wasted on average foreign players. etc etc

The spend culture has little to do with Sky. Football does little to help itself as a whole.

Where do you think the vast majority of money comes from? Sky also has stakes in most major clubs. Everyone else is trying to get into the premier league at all costs purely because of the money boost. As soon as that recent tv money came through they all went out and spent it soon enough.

The gate receipts wouldn't even pay for the players wages.

Clubs being debt is nothing new van and you can blame SKY all you want you , its just the same in other leagues around the world and even in Rugby with the French clubs spending like there's no tomorrow . You have to blame the CEO and chairman of clubs from spending way more than they can afford , they sign the players and make the contracts

Hell long before SKY came into Football Cardiff City twice were all but set to go to the wall and only saved at the last min but the likes of Rick wright . Chairman pandering to the so called fans and spending ridiculous sums of money are far more to blame than SKY .

SKY really saved football, what I hate about SKY though it was they charge pubs and clubs for SKY Sports its unfair and a scandal imo

All those other sports have the same thing in common, they are top heavy in tv money and low on actual fan base, hence apart from the big well attended clubs they will struggle to exist. In the past football clubs did go bust but the actual money owed was a hell of a lot less than now. Cardiff are a good example really, sold out their history so their foreign owner could make more money out of them abroad.

Cardiff didn't sell out their history. The started a new era. Nobody complains that Arsenal no longer play in south London or Highbury. Things change and it's up to clubs to move with this change but do it properly. Arsenal again have done this perfectly.

Really? Some would suggest they still lacked something since leaving Highbury. Moving ground changes a clubs identity and in some cases I think clubs struggle to settle down again for years after.

I think a bit of perspective is required here, football is a sport - not a business. Sky turned the game into the sports equivalent of Wall St - cut throat and greedy aka Gecko!.

Ronaldo, Messi, Bale etc etc earn around 300 k a week , a guesstimate on my part but I dont think I'm far off.

Now, think about real life and how all that money now becomes so obscene its disgusting. Kids starving in Africa, world poverty etc etc.

Sky did not save the game, Sky made it into a commercialised monster with a celebrity culture.

Football is not a a sport anymore, I work beside an ex professional who played in the through 80's and early 90's. He earned a decent wage to support his family and when he retired he took an office job and now earns less than 25K.

He played for a top scottish club and had a testimonial etc. It wasnt about the money then it was about playing the sport you love.

That sport called football is no longer, Sky has ruined the game and controls it completely.

None of whom happen to play in the Premiership. So maybe you need to blame the Spanish broadcasters for that not SKY ?

I think a bit of perspective is required here, football is a sport - not a business.
Reailty is in this day and age, all sports are a business a product that needs to be sold.

Sky did not save the game, Sky made it into a commercialised monster with a celebrity culture
SKY got the family going back to the games, got the product on prime time and totally transformed its fortunes .

He earned a decent wage to support his family and when he retired he took an office job and now earns less than 25K.
So ? That happens to many players in the Football league now ,even with the big deals .

It wasnt about the money then it was about playing the sport you love.
Players still got paid. Rugby players used to play for nothing and then it was all about playing the game they loved , but even in that game there's players that now do well and others that don't , Clubs in the debt to their eye balls and others that are not . Welsh Rugby in a total mess and most of its money comes from the likes of the BBC , not SKY .

In the past football clubs did go bust but the actual money owed was a hell of a lot less than now
In the past they wasn't a transfer window and you didn't have bosman ruling, which meant that Clubs could sell a player any time they wanted too/Needed too, to get funds in . For a lot of Clubs that made a Huge difference and you should know that the likes of Middlesbrough went bust in the 80's - Long before SKY came into the game .

Cardiff are a good example really, sold out their history so their foreign owner could make more money out of them abroad
That makes me laugh . Its still called Cardiff , we still play in Cardiff . The piss poor talk of kit colour or a new stadium is laughable at times , when very few Clubs play in their original kits or in the stadiums to that of when they were 1st founded ; In fact,I can tell you now Cardiff City 1st kit wasn't Blue at all.

Sky cover the spanish footy Sky got the prawn sarnie lot going and all they did was price out the fans who used to watch football all the time, and none of that lot go to any championship or lower games. Dads stop taking their kids to matches and the link is then lost for good.

We are just starting to realise in this country that football is built from the ground up, all the small clubs and leagues which feed each other have been neglected for years and we are starting to see the results of this now in the national team and the quality(and quantity) of home nation players. It's one big pyramid system except ours is super top heavy and slowly squashing everything under it.

If your owner could move Cardiff to Asia and still play in the premier league he would do it in an instant.
