    There's a first... C&C RA3 is under a fiver at Hut on the 360!

Steam has really taken a lot of money from me - and I fear for the last day of sales. Borderlands seems way to tempting to miss up on - we got steam players here for that?

Meh already got all of those except Killing Floor and don't really fancy that. I guess i'll get The Witcher for ?7.81 which is still a very good price. Also found Cryostasis for ?4.95 at GamersGate which is cheaper than Steam's price.

It's not letting me buy anything

Today's lot is a tad disappointing for a finale. Might mop up the couple-o'-quid games I've been hesitating over, namely Stalker: Clear Sky.

I was going to get Assassin's Creed: Directors Cut and Indigo Prophecy, but I can see AS going on a £5 offer at some point, and Indigo Prophecy is the censored version and the ini edit to uncensor it doesn't work on the Steam version.

The couple of censored scenes in Indigo Prophecy detracts very little from the game though (hell, when I played Fahrenheit years ago, I didn't see any of them anyway! Maybe it depends on previous actions you take).

There is a director's cut version with no censorship, but apparently that's download only due to the rating it received... I've no idea where you legally source that from, mind. When you also factor in that the retail copy of Fahrenheit has a hard-coded installer that refuses to install on any O/S newer than XP, plus uses TAGES copy protection driver aswell, suddenly spending two quid on the Steam copy doesn't seem that bad after all (which is what I did ).

Stop tempting me :P I already have more stuff that I'm going to get round to playing! It is strange that you can't uncensor the Steam version though, when you could with the retail version. Maybe Steam removed the game files?

Beyond Good & Evil is also tempting, though I'm told the GoG version has various Vista/Win7 fixes. If so, that might be the better option.

I'd imagine Atari themselves removed the content prior to submitting the game for release on Steam - perhaps to avoid legal issues, or because everybody knew the .ini workaround... thus rendering their 'director's cut' version pointless.

Well I didn't expect this. They ended getting about £55 out of me, when usually I don't play PC games at all. Got about 25 games too. Should keep me busy for a while

Having never played Bioshock, it's the best ?3.49 i ever spent Walked away with 22 games.

                          22 games?

I don't play on my Laptop much but almost all games I've ever played on the PC I now on on Steam through the sale! I brought the ID Complete pack, Outrun 2 and Stalker in the sale.

Also, I trested my brother to the ID Pack as a Christmas present as well.

It's the perfect way to discover games that you wouldn't ever pay full price for - I bought Torchlight and got Batman and Tomb Raider as part of the Eidos pack, none of which I'd have paid much for individually, but in the sale they're ideal as they're all good games, just not my usual bag.

I managed to buy The Orange Box on Steam the other for ?8.49 which I was very happy with.
