As for the games being mentioned as January sales, I think you're being a bit optimistic - New years sales (with video games at least) have been on the decline in recent years, I'm not seeing something like eternal sonata to drop to below ?20 for example and that's even if it sees a discount.

Tomb Raider Anniversary is already down to ?20 in-store in GAME, a discount even remotely worth bothering with and you'd be more or less giving it away.

Might be worth checking out some of the more expensive items like Guitar Hero. Apparently doesn't apply to consoles, however.
