I think those little differences have to be a bug Neon... After watching the full digital foundry tech analysis in 4K on my TV I literally cannot see how that represents the end game because the differences were pretty huge in that DF video.

Maybe there is a texture pop-in bug or something?

Anyway the game looks absolute quality but personally I am really glad they are working on Wolverine next.

This feels like the closing chapter of real progressive technical refinement, through the PS4 titles to Miles Morales, Remastered and now this. That also plays a huge part into how Insomniac have managed to release so many titles in such a short space of time... iteration and refinement.

I bought remastered and Miles Morales on PC to play on desktop and Steam Deck. They are great games but without sounding negative I want Insomniacs talent focused on doing something else now.

I would like Spidey to take a break too for a decade personally, give the team time to work on new franchises.

Even if there's some cutbacks, it's probably a good omen that it had to be taken down to a Coke can to spot them as I never bother with incidental details at that level in game. I think with Spider-Man, the biggest danger is New York itself. The representation improves with the tech but to a relative sense there's an aspect about these games that you're almost playing a remake of the PS2 era games because the core is the same. They're very well done but after this game is done I wouldn't be surprised to feel like needing them to throw NY out of any further games completely which is then a huge undertaking for Insomniac. Given the popularity I'm sure they'll continue for now but yep, SM isn't the most interesting of Sony or Insomniacs IPs, more reliable.

It did not arrive in the post, sad face, however given my pile of shame right now it’s hardly a disaster.

Not really sure if this is the right thread for this but Dead Space remake is on EA Play now. £3.99 for month. Just signed up as I'll be through it in that time, so seems like quite a good 'deal', rather than shell out 30 odd quid for it.

Looks like EA is pimping it around ready for Halloween as it's also going into game pass never week.

              Decent deal either way really...

This sounds a bit ominous? Jaffe has a tendency to be a bit OTT but from the post it seems either there's mass layoffs or perhaps studio closures / re-structuring?

It can't be epic scale layoffs. For Sony to make that move would be... the single most stupendously moronic decision they would have ever made since PS's inception.

                      So I expect that now.

The Head of Production at PlayStation, Connie Booth, has allegedly left PlayStation after 34 years, it's been claimed.

Apparently it's this. Which is notable but feels more like Jaffe was trying to bank cash for news that doesn't warrant it

Ah yes of course, I mean how could we go 2 pages of comments without Sony being the devil. Are we done now? Can we go back to Spidey2 ?

Dat is cray. And I didn't even buy it for me and my son yet.

Yeah, just slightly OTT if this is it. "Person leaves job after 3 and a half decades". It's earth-shattering stuff!
