A world pass allows you to land on a specific server rather than a random one, assuming you wanted to play with us lot you'd need to be on Seraph.

To get one someone already on the server has to purchase one from an NPC on the server.

Whats a world pass?

Rob seeing as your sure to have plenty of updates to download I should be able to get one for you by the time you get to making your character.

Basically when you make a character you get the option to tell the game which server you want to go on, but to do this someone already on that server needs to give you a code.

After you have chosen a name for your character there will be a box for 'World' do not just hit enter on this, instead enter Seraph

After you do this you will be asked for a code, I will post one on here in about an hour. 4.30pm ish.

This will then land your character on the same server we are on.

i have no idea what class im going to go David i dont even know what classes there are. I play a spellhowler on lineage 2 so i like the heavy magic attacks so maybe something along those lines.

Can you only choose 1 character in this game? if i want more i have to pay 70p per character?

if i delete a character will that free up a slot?

Thats the beauty of FFXI, if you get bored with a job, you can just switch to another job, all with the same character. So you don't need to have multiple characters.

Since you like magic attacks, I would recommend going either Black Mage or Red Mage. Black Mage if you want full on powerful magic spells or Red Mage if you want a more rounded job that can melee, heal, enfeeble and nuke too.

I chose the Hume race as like red mage, they're average at all departments. You might want to choose Tarutaru though, since they have a massive magic points advantage over the other races but they lack hit points though.

Would definately recommend using a PS2 pad (or XB360/similar) with FFXI.

Like Tal says get a PS2 controller, your life will be infinitely better the adapters cost next to nothing on ebay. Makes a huge difference to game play and makes the whole thing feel more interactive.

Well last night had a brief play and compelted the Tenzen path with the CS at the Avatar Gate in the 60 cap tower and then visited Sid. Started the Ulmia path off with all the CSes in Sandy and now just need to pop to Windurst and then I'm set for the BC. Inb any game time I get this week I'll go after the item for that BC.

Depending on when i get home tonight (maybe 9/10'ish) we could do the mithra bc with mosely as Smn and tali taking care of healing.

Plan would be for Tsing to go in, 2hr and mosely smack them with Astral Flow 1 and Darwock with strong magic spell on mithra Y, then while the 2hr still up on tsing ES+Sleepga. If mithra Y is still alive i'll 2hr to finish it off or spend 2hr on another Mithra. We then hold on for the next minute for a 2nd Astral Floow to finish the match.

Also finished the Tenzen Path, the Cs with Fenrir recalling past events is real spine tingling stuff especially with the music. CoP story is brilliant starting to tie up loose ends in history from Zilart. Makes me want to finish ZM to
