Anyway, after reading davidhollis' link I decided to go search for this mysterious thing in Back Of Beyond. I started out from Las Venturas and when I ended up there it was 6am, I explored the first Horeshoe shaped rock and it yielded nothing, no cars or anything. I ran further and spotted a circular rock (to the left of the horseshoes on the map), and there I discovered an abandoned blue Glendale car. It had been bashed up a bit and was just lying there by the rock with no sign of a driver anywhere.
I searched the circular rock some more but I didnt see any further sign of cars, I returned back to the horeshoes and started exploring the one on the left. Near the front on the left brance I found another abandoned Glendale car in similar condition. Getting a little worried now I whipped out my AK and started exploring the woods further, when my search warranted no response I continued to wait and look.
It was about 12pm by now, and I was getting impatient, why wont this thing come to meet me like a man I wondered while crouching down behind a tree aiming my AK at the abandoned car. I approached the car once more and started looking at it for any distinct marks which may be of some clue to how the car got here. There were a few scratches and what not but the damage was probably the same a normal crash would have caused. At this point I nearly fell out of my chair when another Glendale car started rolling in from the left of the hill, again abandoned and damaged and stops next to the car at the horseshoe.
At this point Im getting scared, its 4.30pm and getting a little foggy. I've been in silence for what seems like ages and everything is seeming a little off, suddenly Im seeing inscriptions on trees and rocks and hearing noises which arent there. Again I sweep the area but find nothing, I decided to wait till nightfall for this 'thing' to show itself.
By now its 8pm and Ive been sitting here being paranoid for hours, I hear a car rolling down the hill and, what a coincidence, another abandoned, mangled Glendale. Its getting dark and my visibility is getting poor as I try to see whats causing all of this. In another attempt to find out where these cars are coming from I enter each one to see what radio station is playing, its Playback FM on each of them.
Midnight rolls around and if I expected any attack to come I think it would come now, alerted by a sound (which I probably made) I run around each of the cars to see that they're okay. Accidentaly I brush past one of the Glendales while panicking and the car starts picking up even more damaged because it is stuck on a tree. The car blows up and I think to myself whatever hopes of finding this thing have gone with it... Despite this I continue to wait for 3 more hours until 5am where light begins to creep in to the darkness and I leave, relieved yet dissappointed.
But I'll be back, theres something weird going on in that forest I say...Last edited by Olympichero; 04-11-2004, 16:43.

I'm going to check this out tonight. Even if nothings there it'll make for an interesting Blair Witchy camp out
I'm not sure if its the same spot, but there are one or two other abandonded cars in the wilderness areas. The one I can remember off the top of my head is parked up in the trees / wood chippings grove on the s-bends ( heading towards Angel Pine I think ).

This is harder than DDR.
Worst point in the game, things like this dancing stuff should only be optional extras.

Here's my `Bigfoot` Adventure :-
If I was to go camping out in the woods, I decided that CJ should look the part. I headed to the local Binco to pick up some Camo style khakis and the Hunters style flack jacket, finishing him off with Zap Hiking boots and baseball cap. A quick stop to get more camera film and some appropriate hunting gear from Ammunation and I was all set.
Grabbing the nearest scrambler I headed over to the Back of Beyond. Finding the horse shoe rocks was straight forward enough,a quick diversion off the beaten track. It was only a matter of seconds before I stumbled across the two broken up cars.
I dismounted and took a good look around. In the mid day sun everything seemed so peaceful and normal. But it was a little too quiet, and a bit unsettling. The nearest road wasn't too far away, but there wasn't even the hum of any traffic.
A crowd of birds flushed over head as I took a quick look at the beaten up cars, one of which was nestled against a tree in an un-natural position. There was no sign of the occupants.......
I took some snaps of the cars for good measure, and then got back on the bike for a quick scout around, and to familiarise myself with the area. On returning to the horse shoe rocks I parked the scrambler on a rocky bluff overlooking the two cars. Then I squated and waited.
Late afternoon came and went in a brilliant shower of red. By 10.00 the sky was jet black, and the stars twinkling.
Time marched on. Nothing but a plane passing over head. And some distant flashing lights in the sky.
What were they ? They were too high for planes ? UFO's ??!! I tutted out loud. I needed to stop getting ahead of myself and concentrate on `Bigfoot` first.
Then, at 3.00am, the fog mysteriously rolled in, covering everything in swirling rolls. Suddely I felt a bit nervous. I could no longer see the car furthest away. Everything felt a bit more claustophobic.
How could this be the same game I was playing a few days ago, shouting and whooping as I mowed down pedestrians in care free abandonment ?
My mouth was dry, and I gripped the controller tightly. Everything suddenly seemed much more sinster out there in the wilds. Suddenly I felt vulnerable and as if something might be watching me.....
I whipped out the camera and tried to zoom in on the furthest car.
WHAT WAS THAT ?!
Something moved where the car had been. I struggled not to panic and loose the camera aim. For a split second I thought I saw something again. First time out was I going to actually see something ???!!!
It was then I realised it was nothing more than shapes caused by the twirling fog.
Still uneasy I pulled out the rifle. Having a weapon to hand made me feel a little better...... but I just couldn't shake the feeling something was out there.... watching me....... waiting for something......
After what seemed like a foggy eternity, dawn slowly rolled around and the fog began to lift quite quickly. A check of the area below the rocks revealled nothing. The only difference was the furthest car was still nowhere to be seen.....
Getting back on the scrambler I took a look around the remaining car. Nothing seemed to have changed. Disheartened and elated at the same time, I headed back to the main road and headed home, the rising sun casting its brilliant glare behind me.

There's definately something odd in that area. Even if the Bigfoot thing is a complete hoax, its testiment to the game that you can still have experiences like this !

I'll take a look at that area tonight, have been through it enough times but not seen anything.
To be honest I'm starting to lose interest in the game now, it's still quite enjoyable, but the design is frustrating and occasionally very poor. Having to reload a save, start a mission again, drive to the start point and then redo a mission just because of some silly little crash or slipup is incredibly harsh. The game is very open, but many of the missions are surprisingly ridgid, and I'm starting to get tired of the whole process.
