I get the helicopter from the airport on the second island then fly over to the airport on the first island. There are two planes there which you can get into.

but the helicopter is also locked for me.

I has the same problem when I got into the airport before getting my license. I just waited till I got it before I flew.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before (no time to go through all pages!) but anyone else had a random Spitfire drop from the skies onto the road?

I've not had the spitfire fall, in fact i've had no bugs and the game hasn't crashed once, I've just got to Las Venturas.

I've still not had a helicopter, but i'm wondering that if you get one, is there a house you can land it at and save it?

I've had the random plane crash, wondered what the hell was going on! I heard lots of sreaming and then there was loads of explosions etc!

Also without wishing to spoil things for people (Sorry I don't know how to do spoiler quotes) don't worry about helicopters etc, you'll get your fair share easily enough

WINKY Helicopter Directions:
"The helicopter that is available is at Easter Bay Airport (the one in the
sea north of Mt. Chiliad). From Los Santos head to flint intersection and
cross the river. Follow the road all the way round and you will come to a
long tunnel on your right which runs downhill northwest. At full speed go
down this tunnel and drive over the edge of the cliff* to land in Easterbay
airport. Helicopter is on the right.
*Note you must drive straight out the end of the tunnel and not turn right as the map would suggest*"

I have had a couple of burning planes fall out of the sky (one on my way up Mt. Chiliad blocking the path and one up by my garage). Very strange indeed.

Hit a wall with this now. With VJ2 and MP2 out soon I'll probably give up. Those RC Planes are just too damn hard to shoot down and I can't be bothered to swim around to get my stats up for the Triad Mission. Ho Hum. Been brilliant up till now though...

Yeah, I've seen the spitfire too. I was driving through downtown Los Santos and it was upside down in the middle of the road. I think I might have to take a break from Halo and get back into this tonight....

How many helicopters are in Los Santos?

The Police one seems to spawn only infrequently, and i'm not sure where others are. There are loads elsewhere, San F has one on the helipad NE from you starting location there, in addition to the one(s) at the airport, there's numerous Sparrows/etc between there and Las Venturas, but Los San seems strangely devoid of them. i've finished the main campaign too now, just cleaning bits up, like girlfreinds, export cars and the races etc.

I'm still amazed at how much fun you can have just bombing about; you might be say just driving from A to B, when a cop chasing someone else clips you putting on a star, that leads to another and more when you have a shoot-out, and before you know it its a mad dash to a Pay 'n Spray or whatever!

I know people might think I'm having a laugh here with this, but last night whilst playing I saw my first San Andreas UFO!

I was bombing along off road on my motorbike in Flint County, game time was late, so very dark.

I saw what I first though might be a shooting star, but after a couple of seconds looking I realised it was moving. As fast I as was moving it was moving even faster! Not only that it seemingly changed colour, like a twinkling light - greens and blues.

I chased it as much as I could but lost sight of it in the end.

Anyone else seen anything like this?

Not yet. Did count at least ten spitfires falling from the sky though.

Just did the Toreno missions, excellent. Now I just hope I don't have to get 100% license stuff to unlock the attack helicopter and such.
