But it's a pain in the arse having to drive there all the time!

Is it possible to completely wipe out a gang?

You're all going on about gang warfare, but as soon as I moved over to the next map, it disappeared in Los Santos for me. Am I missing something?

I don't know yet, but should have an idea later tonight
Btw the machine gun is the weapon of choice for this stuff - great range and lots of rounds per clip.

I'm thinking of setting the next date with Denise for wherever the next gang attack occurs, she's clearly more into drive-by shootings than going on proper dates

Someone explained it earlier, which got promptly lost within all the hubbub.

But once you've gone past that certain storyline (where you had to gain gang territory) and onto the Red County/ San Fierro section of storylines, the territory robbing is gone.

However you can do it again later on.
          So i've been informed.

I've no idea how to initiate dual wield (though i'm dual Uzi-ing at the moment) but i guess it has something to do with your weapon proficiency with that type of weapon?

But do you still get funds from the bits you took over in the first section?

While the gang area robbing storyline is intact - yes.

However when you move on, the 'cash pot' that accumilates the amount on a timely basis that's next to your house will be gone

Thanks, I knew the smart money was in the pimping business

Damn you lamerz with loads of free time, I'm still in the linear part of the story. Why do I tease myself by reading these snippets?

I'm away tonight in London so I'm left with playing GTA on my GBA SP, not quite the same but it will eat up a few hours in the business lounge at each end.

My uzi and machine pistol skills are the one above Gangster at the mo, normal pistol is even higher. It told me that I was now able to duel wield but I've never managed to do it, even when walking over another uzi or whatever. Do you actually have to pick up double weapons, like in say, TimeSplitters 2?

I only have one available mission at the moment - goto the wearhouse on the docks and kill the russians - is this near the end of the first section?

It's not too far off iirc, you should have a bloody good mission coming up soon after it.

I mostly end up doing these at night so it ends up feeling a bit like the film 'Assault on Precinct 13'. I got caught badly by the sunrise a few times though, coudn't see **** with the sun in my eyes.
I get up on roofs, and it's much easier. Look for sloped ones on houses though, so you still have a good line of fire down onto them. Then as they come at you, you can pop them off. If you have time and can get back up easily, jump down between rounds for the cash and weapons they drop (if they haven't disappeared).

The bestest thing ever in GTA is being chased by a welliwhopper (ghansta speak for helicopter) while jumping from roof to roof, an uzi in hand and half a dozen police cars chasing on ground. It usually ends in tears, but no matter, it is very effective none the less.

I've noticed that even when in the downtown areas with the big buildings it is possible to jump from roof to roof (though not all, obviously, as you just squish on the ground).

I need to review Wario Ware Rotate on the GBA tonight, as I did last night and all over last weekend, but somehow my weakness of wanting to play games will drag me down once again and I'll end up letting down the team even more. I'm so weak and useless

I just lost all my money gambling

Now I know how it feels to be a gambling addict...

So you say we want to be able to jump up and jack helicopters? Ohh if only!

Ive just managed to save my game back at my original Safe House in the 'hood' and when i come outside theres 4 members of a rival gang outside, which when i kill drop around 2.5k :P and they appear each time I go in and out of the house. Minted!

Also what happens if you create a massive barracade of cars on the train tracks in los santos?? will the trian derail or just plow through it all?

                                Im off to find out...
