Helicopter:
The helicopter I get is at Easter Bay Airport (the one in the sea north of Mt. Chiliad. From Los Santos head to flint intersection and cross the river. Follow the road all the way round and you will come to a long tunnel on your right which runs downhill northwest. At full speed fly down this tunnel and drive over the edge of the cliff to land in easter bay airport. There should be a helicopter here.
*Note you must drive straight out the end of the tunnel and not turn right as the map would suggest*
Biplane:
There is a dirt track that leads uphill to a point west of the bridge described above. There is a biplane here.
Have fun. If you get the helicopter/boat/plane head to the bridges west of san fierro and north of easter bay airport. Its these:
I found the helicopter today when I explored San Fierro's airport. Top stuff, and it goes much higher than in Vice City, as I hoped (and expected after flying a plane) that it would do.
I'll be picking up the monster truck for a bit of cross-country exploration later on tonight.

I'm going to give the game another go... But even though I'm ranking it as probable game of the year so far, if it crashes again I'm not going back.
If the technology or the code can't support the vision, or it's inherently broken in certain ways, then it's just going to leave a bad taste if I have to keep echoing my own play.
San Andreas in my opinion should be about fluidity and continuity, not fractured repetitive pacing through no fault I have control over.

Too bad Concept, hope it won't die on you again. I tend to save after every mission and after twenty- plus hours the game fortunately hasn't let me down yet. Not that I've used the camera for anything other then the misssion on *that* hill.
I arrived on the second part of the map a couple of hours ago and haven't even visited San Fiero yet. Keep looking for neat things but the area is just so big. I didn't think that after experiencing them lots in VC, the heli's would excite me as much as they did when jacking one last night. Rising into the green hills, beautiful sunset and Creedance playing on the radio (and like you pleasantly surprised when it kept going up).

Andreas is brilliant.
Go try Vice City again. PS2, Xbox, whatever, its not half the game that San Andreas is - it just seems blocky, dull and small. Once the SA map opens up, its incredible. Its not revolutionary, but its absolutely fugging brilliant, and does absolutely *everything* it promised.
