Originally posted by TobalFinally finished it, enjoyed overall mainly for the cutscene's, the games detail for anything and everything and the story, but the view point really needs updating it so arsey having to stop and look to make sure and enemy guard is still facing the otherway. And CQC seems to had nothing new all outside 4 ways to deal with headlocked guard.
onthe to the story..
i loved the ending to it, and its little Metal Gear timeline, the grenin bit with the design's for next 2 Metal Gears had my smiling, as did the that gay officer pinching my ass. And Ocelot is clearly the star of the show
Also anyone think that Joy/Sorrow's son grows up to be Pyshico Mantis?
Their son is Ocelot. There's evidence in the game to support this

The ending is awesome though. The entire game is, tbh.

So... hard... not... to... read.... spoilersI have just slipped inside the outer wall of the first lab and absolultely loving the game!! Can feel it starting to pick up!!
Got some amazing weaponry... the best in a MGS game so far!! Need to keep playing as much as possible to get all the story cause from reading in here it sounds sweet!! Got a few ideas about what going on and really looking forward for it all to pull together!!
Question??
Can you hold guards up like in MGS2... where you point the gun at the back of there head... or does it only work now when you throw them down THEN hold them up?? Love making them skwirm on the floor then bust there head wide open with a well placed bullet

it's before or after you fight The Pain, when you are walking through the caves. I forget who it is you're supposed to keep calling but I think it's EVA. If you call her enough you get a codec sequence where she explains that Ocelot was born on the battlefield and was the son of a legendary soldier, and that he was rasised by the GRUs and Volgin. She also tells you that he never saw his parents or something like that. Later on when you talk with The Boss(just before you fight her) she tell's you that she gave birth on the battlefield and that her son was snatched away from her by the Philosophers IIRC. She also says that The Sorrow was the father and The Sorrow is Russian. It kind of fits.

Beat The Fury last night. Have to say that I love the bosses in this game. They might be a tad easy (apart from The End who's been the biggest challenge for me so far), but the design is brilliant.
Roughly how far am I through the game ?

I got my MGS3 on Wednesday. Firstly the game was a small disappointment. Especially the camera sucked first (its complately same as in the two predecessors, thought there isn't radar anymore). But, MGS3 feels better and better now. About 8-9 hours behind, definitely the best game of this year so far.

Spot on Ravon... the camera is not a flaw, it is used to make the player use there stealth, weapons and tools!! Otherwise it would be run of the mill mindless action. If you use your tools and moves well it all works beautifully!! Give me MGS 4, 5 and 6 with the same control system... I will be happy!!
