Unlockable "Professional" difficulty by Complete the main game once

    Comment

*falls back in chair sighs a HUGE sigh of relief and satisfaction*

My goodness that was tense the boss battles throughout have been really something else. The battle I just had utilized the Action commands superbly? and it looked stunning? very cinematic but you still have control over what?s happening!

So there is an additional difficulty? Excellent stuff.

haha there's me rattling on about how far i think i am in relation to the game...forgetting there's a second disk yet!

Am i going to have problems changing discs since i'm using Freeloader? Anyone know? This is my first time using it!

Yes I'm sure. Although both are arguably just copied from HK cinema/anime/The Matrix. Res Evil 4's are the best realtime cut scenes I've seen to date though, the boss encounters are just mind blowingly good.

The codec seemed pretty pointless to me. It rarely (at least so far) relays anything useful and feels tacked on.

Loving the game, a true stunner. Played for 4 hours this evening.

Well I'll have to add my pennies worth. Forced myself to finish off pop2 before I started (now that's willpower...lol!) and thought I'll just play an hour before going to bed.

Yeh right...two and a half hours later and I'm hooked, lined and sinkered, as it were. Lights off, ss up and very very impressed.

I'm similar to a few here, whereby I loved the original and a few of the sequels all those years ago but got very bored of RE, tried the remake on the Cube and it bored me to tears so was really hoping this could change my mind.

Well it has so far, only just got past the bit after the 1st salemsan, windy stilt house place as it were. Stunningly atmospheric, looks beautiful, and the sound oh the sound and just works incredibly well.

I look fwd to playing some more tomorrow. Top trumps to Capcom so far...

hehe I took this to work today and let someone have a go

He went into the village for the first time and ran in , got mashed to pieces by like 5 zombie men, Ihe found his way into a bulding, barracaded the door, ran upstairs and pushed the ladder down. He could see the chainsaw dude and a bunch of enemies below.

              then came the zombies,
              up the ladder

              Boom!
              shotgun

              repeat x 5

then just as he is realoading, out of nowhere comes chainsaw guy and cuts his head clean off.
The guy litterally screamed, it was so funny.

It was also cool to see that it triggered the little even by going through the front door, i snuc in and went through a window, and I didn't get the little cut scene.

Just completed it for the first time ^_^

I'm assuming (hoping) that like in previous Resident Evils there are multiple endings?

What a stunning game. Somehow it kept throwing so many new ideas into the recipe so it never once... not ONCE became mundane or boring.

                Final results

                Hit Ratio: 71%
                Enemies Killed: 888
Number of times killed: 43 (heh)
                Clear Time: 19hours - 47mins - 32sec

                Number of times saved: 082

                Been awarded with the following?

?Now you can buy an infinite launcher and a Matilda from the Merchant!?

                and? wow!

More play modes are now available!

Assignment Ada ? starts with hearing Whesker on the radio and then you get to control Ada?

The Mercenaries - this is cool. You can unlock more characters to control by scoring high points. After choosing the character you wish to be you need to choose one of four locations. And then you are given a mission ? eg ?Eliminate as many Ganados as you can before your evac chopper arrives!?

Pretty awesome if you ask me

just want to say that this is by far the best Resi yet, only to the first trader but this game is relentless.Showed it to a few mates last night who play mainly xbox,to say they where blown away is and understatement.

The sense of panic has been nailed by this game. When you first hear the chainsaw guy winding that thing up,blind panic sets in.

And when he does catch up with you well.....I just loose my head (sorry)

How do you kill el gigante the second time? I only just got to it, but the area is very narrow, and Ashley is just pointing at the rocks, how do i use em?

                      Ta.

By the way, AMAZING game, but needs strafe. Took me about 2 hours to realise how good it was, because of the sheer amazing graphics, then you realise just how good the actual gameplay is. Then it starts raining, and you realise the graphics are near the best ever...
Anyone? I noticed some of you have finished the game already... Nice one! I only managed to get in 3 1/2 hours. This game is wonderful. They don't let up on the action for 2 minutes, its not so much scary, but the suspense kills you. You know its gonna happen, it doesn't suprise you much when it does, but you are just so desperate to stay alive that nothing else matters. Shoot them, franticly run away because you need to reload and 5 of them are charging at you...Reload, shoot them. You realise one has blind sided you and grabs hold of you, all the while the others are getting closer. You kick him off, but its too late, 3 more are on you. You fire wildly with the shotgun, and yes, you manage to get all 3 in the blast radius, you run away to get a better shot...they rise up, you destroy them... Awesome.

At the beginning where the cop is on fire?

You must have to do something to trigger him as i didnt get him there.

I didnt ever see him either and I hardly made my way through that village in a steath manner - I shot someone and it triggered everyone else coming after me.

                              I still never saw him.

I think I am in the minority reading a lot of people's views here but this game really unsettles me. Even today I find myself a bit on edge because I was playing this for a few hours yesterday. I think its the music.. once it starts up when you are in danger it really gets your pulse racing.

I'm not saying too much since I don't want to spoil it, but believe me, you will encounter him in the village.
