RE: The commands, is there a sure way to get them to appear, I shoot legs out etc and go next to them or walk into them or whatever but it seems a bit hit and miss as to whether it'll let me kick them etc...?

I tend to shoot their feet so they're on the knees, which can be hit and miss, then either "Kick" or "Suplex" will appear.

when you fall down the pit, you have to quick time to avoid the spikes?. You follow the sewers path right to the end. Your being followed by a boss who chases you. Now, you obviously know that you push over the bottles to 'freeze' him. However, I never managed to kill him on my first play through. What I did this time was to freeze him, switch to my infinite launcher and let loose.

He gives you a rare treasure!

Leon holds the infinte launcher differently to his regular launcher too. Nice touch.

Adam: Number of times killed: 0 ( whenever I died I would load up my game rather than continue, was wondering if you were rewarded for a no continue use! I saved more than you though, think I was upto 100 on 1st play.

I thought the build up to the end was truly immense... But, the final boss, although looked hideously cool, was surprisingly easy and less as impressive as the other bosses imo. Was the only boss I didn?t die at! heh

I know what foe you are referring to in the sewer. I loved that section! Scared the hell out of me. I haven?t started to replay yet, but will do later most certainly. I spent some time on the extra play modes? a lot of fun.

I cant wait to get the rocket launcher. I used the regular launcher twice on two bosses? came mighty handy indeed.

I love how Resident Evil seemed to take influence from so many different survival horrors, take them apart, and the re-sculpt for the better. There were definitely similarities with Eternal Darkness and Silent Hill? but it always still felt like Resident Evil.

The best game of its type? One of the best games in recent years? One of the most FUN games ever? I think so ^_^

Is it too bold to say its genre defining?

I never see the option to suplex Always kick.

The suplex is a funny one.
When you shoot them in the feet/ shins they go down on one knee (yet they wont drop) and are just about to get up again. That's the only animation i've found i can do it.

With the shotgun, close as possible. In fact, I leave it till they're swinging at me before I shoot them. It's more effective up close than from long-range.

Anyone else think the game is kinda hard? Or rather, it's pretty easy to die. I've only reached Chapter 1:3, and have already died several times.

It can be tough at times, but during the first run-through, the difficulty will adjust accordingly.

I always wait until the last minute to shoot people too.

Its pretty funny watching a zombie guy amble over to you clambering over stuff in his way only for him to stop and do a massive dodge to the right, and then duck in the most over pronounced fashion and then carry on towards you only to get his head blown off once he gets within a foot of you .

I'm up to 1-3 and I love this game so much. This has permanently changed my idea of how to do atmosphere in games now...there is nothing - on any platform - that has come close to this. It is just so much fun

I loved the bit during 1-2 where you walk down a corridor, and there's some villagers hiding behind a defensive wall they built, and throwing explosives at me I killed them and ran forwards, straight into a bear-trap...it scared the crap out of me

I don't really care about scores etc either and I bought this long before any reviews were printed. But I'll be pissed off if people don't buy it because it gets a low score ft: This game deserves to sell a million and Capcom deserve recognition for this - frankly - ****ing amazing game
