Okay, I gave in and ordered it. Won't ship for a while though as it's coming with a bunch of other DS games - Pac N Roll, Yakitate! Japan, and Jump All Stars.

The amount of japanese text in there is no more than any of the other goemon games.

Hehe glad we could make you crack if your waiting for the us release you'll be waiting for a very long time.

I'm sorry but how f*cking cool is the Impact fighting!

I was a bit dubious when I first saw a video of it but that was wicked!

Inpact fighting is very enjoyable. I have been taking time upgrading my characters. I have now gotten both money bags so i can hold 500 coins. I have now gotten goemons jutsu power where he can summon inpact to kill all the enemies on the screen.

**** knows what was up with famitsu giving it a low score. They must be smoking somthing.

            How far through are you?

I've just started stage 4, I've got my first purse so I can hold 300 coins and got my Goemon Jutsu power.

                Hey cool.

I must be right behind you! I've just gotten Yae's Mermaid suit and I'm looking for the kidnapped dancers...I've found 2 but can't find the 3rd :\

I can see that the are Jutsu powers for both Yae and Ebismaru here...Time to start saving!!

                Question:

What does the guy want sitting out on the island in tha area where the termites are? I speak to him and he turns away...I've noticed that there is a symbol on the floor the same at that where you used Ebisu's ballerine costume to sink through the floor...I've tried that tho and nothing happens. :\

                  Heres what you do

Talking to the guy on the island dosent seem to work, but if you prod the guy sitting on the island with your finger he should move off it, as you correctly guessed use ebisumarus ballarina drill power to get the 3rd guy. then head back to the town as thats where you need to be.

As in Goemon 2 (which was a breeze to get through with no knowledge of Japanese whatsoever) or more like Uchuu Kaizoku Akogingu? (I might've given the latter too little time, but I didn't manage to progress if I remember correctly.)

This could be the game that makes me buy a DS, it looks awesomely tempting.

hmmm, I personally think CastleVania DS is looking absolutely stunning (graphically) just think some of the animations are looking a bit off but overall looks gorgeous.

I pray this gets a Western release, but I will import it if not, as I love the previous goemon games I've played.

How many of the SNES Goemons got a US release? I know it wasn't all of them..

But then if games like Another Code can be translated, surely Goemon is a no brianer?

Only the first one came out in the US...

It's not a case of how easy it is, its a case of how cost effective it is. Unfortunately, these games don't really appeal in the West which is why not many get released....Even the PS2 version never made it.

                          You never know tho.

Thanks Importaku...I can't beleive I didn't try that. I guess I'm still not thinking that way yet...You should have seen how long it took me to get past the termite things!! LoL

Its hard to say at the moment but id say its no harder than the first 2 goemon games. There are points where you will become stuck because you need a certain item or ability but if you perservere you will get through.

Well, it was worth getting a DS just for this. A corking effort by Konami! My faith is (sort-of) restored in you. I wonder if this is an all-new team or some older hands?

Yes, the graphics are fab but the music is stonking!!
