I hate you all.

I was going to wait in the hope that this would get a US release but reading this thread has made me put it in my basket at P.A. with the cursor hovering over the buy button. Please, somebody tell me its crap so I won't be tempted to buy it. Anyone?

The only one of the series I've played is Mystical Ninja on the SNES which I loved; has this version got loads of little mini games like that did? I used to spend ages just whacking moles, betting on horses etc and finding that tent with a playable version of the first level of Gradius was one of my highlights of the 16-bit era.

Yes it has the mini game's but they are not the same as the other ame's obviously, they are still from the Konami back catologue though.

Enjoy this masterpeice, game of the year most definetly!!

There are some minigames in this version like a touch screen version of whack a mole (except with people). Another is making pots on a potters wheel. There are a few more but ill keep them as a suprise.

The great thing with this version is all the boss fights & inpact battles can be played again & again after you have beaten them in the main game.

Im not too far from completing it now by the looks of it & i have to say, as far as goemon games go this is one of the better ones. It has that same snes goemon feel.

Im still at a loss why famitsu gave it such a **** score (grr muppets)

Oh and like everyone has already said that music is fantastic, lots of old goemon tunes remixed & some new ones in there too. I hope someone rips
the soundtrack (^_^)

Don't know if anyone else has found the 3rd money bag upgrade yet so i'll list how to get it.

In the very first town (Hakure) where you catch the boat to the haunted swamp level. Once you have completed it go back to the man under the bell & talk to him, he will give you a spell. (looks like a square of paper)

Im guessing he will only give you it if you have already obtained the 2nd bag upgrade. So you wont be able to get it till later on in the game.

Now you have the spell, find the area with that drum thats rolling down the hill. To get past it use ebisumaru's ballarina drill to vanish then quickly reappear and run up the hill before the drum returns.

At the top there is a house with the bag upgrade guy & an old woman. He wont give you the bag upgrade though because he's eating. So equip the spell (R button) use the spell & the woman will turn back into a demon & you can now get your bag upgrade that will let you hold 800 coins

You need to learn his fart attack, one of the villages nearby has a man who will teach him for 500 i think. After its learnt just select the shuriken and hold the button in to charge. then let rip on the pig nose buttons.

Oh man...Just got across the broken bridge and one of my favourite music tracks (Goemon 2 SNES Boss stages) cuts in !!!

This game is soooo cool!

Im right at the end now im on the 2nd to last boss. That boss is rock hard, it took armour & loads if onigiri to survive. Still 1 more final boss to go eek.

Well thats it the credits have rolled. What an enjoyable game (^_^) be warned that last impact fight is a right bast i just got through with the smallest slither of health left.

Once completed you can still continue your game to look for things you have missed. I still have to find 11 of those hidden elephant statues. Find the 4th money bag upgrade & im done.

Wonder what unlocks when all the statues are found??

Heres what unlocks when completed.

In the options menu the ???? unlocks to a sound test menu.
In the boss & inpact replay section theres a survival mode where you have to fight all the bosses one after another on one life.

Also the 3 missing spaces in the inventory menu are for the legendry items that get returned to you when you defeat the final boss.

Man what a beautiful game! Anyone who loves the SNES incarnations has to own this!!

Finale was tough, but not too bad.

Think you'll get anything extra for collecting all the statues?

I played through Space Manbow, it appears to be only 1 level...Either that or a very short game!! :\
