Has anyone compared the stats say for a Mage at level 30.Then resurrecting them and seeing what the stats are for when they get to level 30 again is there a big increase?

At Level 50, y witch was at around 1,000 INT and I re-incarnated a few times at Level 50 and that is now 1600 INT I think. I did use a lot of points to get that and kept moving back and forth over the choice of class until I got the stats I wanted. I then had to check resistance to the elements and see if she had Fire (the last time). I did a few reloads before getting what I wanted. Allocating 3 points to resistance to get +10% against all the elements and with items over 600 INT at Level 1 (I pushed it to 72 and increased HP and DEF to the same level and used my remaining 1 point of the 20 I had available on SP). End result is very good.

One advantage was my witch now has the healing and protection spells. A drawback was that it got a little trciky to get the first kill at the fortress due to lower INT (hence the two element hits find). By Level 20 odd with 900 INT the Bishop could easily dispose of the Fortress solo. I have been using Level 50 as my point to re-incarnate (not the best perhaps but adequate for the moment).
One advantage is that after the first kill (with current Mana of over 10,000 due to numerous visits to 3-4 for the Fortress on the way back to Level 50 for the healer and the two other elements) you could create any number of Level 21/22 dungeons from that character. By the time you returned to Level 50 you would have enough Mana to reincarnate to the highest class available for the character (Rune Master for the witch). Just watch out for the 32 skills maximum.
It would probably take about 18 trips to Map 3-4 to get back to Level 50 but you would have in excess of 7000 Mana in the process. So next reincarnation you have more than enough at Level 21 or 22 for a number of Dungeons.

"sigh" put all the hours i have put into nippon ichi games disagea/la puchelle/phantom brave and this.Comes up with quite alot of hours.I really hope for the next game they bring in team attacks and the item world.Anyway back to topic
So is it theoretcally possible to create a character who is good with everything?.Really i would like to have a mage who has good movement and defense without sacrficing any other stats would that be possible?

Eventually you get enough bonus points to do everything. Not so sure about the movement. I suppose you make sure the character you end up with has the movement though of course their base stats are determined by character type. One porblem is that you are just limited to 32 skills (which includes individual spells).

You could, in theory, create a character with maxed out Def and Res and Int stats on the bonus bar, which would free up your item slots for movement bonus items. I've not yet found the teleporting thing from Disgaea but I've got characters with over 100 movement who are only wearing one pair of (admittedly sick) shoes. Pass a character through the top tier thief, get to level 100 and you should have a nice movement and jump bonus ready to go.

My highest class thief is a burglar who is on about Level 14
My best character is the Rune Master Witch with all the healing spells and fire, wind and ice with INT of 1500+. Currently Level 52 I think. She can get a 1000+ hit on the Fortress in 3-4 (great for collecting Mana early...ish in the game).
How did you manage against the Level 219 enemy on I think it was 5-2 the first time around (he'd gone the next time I went there). Great for Levels on my Witch that survived the encounter.Last edited by Bassman; 25-08-2005, 12:55.

Yeah, first time around he proper pwned me.
Second time he wasn't even henchman standard. My box-wielding monster thing killed him in one hit. I suppose having intelligence at around the 10k mark helped
I like the logarhythmic rate of levelling. I'm going back in tonight to fight a level 700 overlord. I can't wait. Last time I took him down to his last scraps of health before he ruined me. Tonight things will be different.
And I got a new wand! It's sick! And the third tier wand effect is aces.
If you're farming for mana, be sure to hit that fortress with a box first. Each box hit gives the target a mana-bonus when farmed. Maybe up to three boxes? I can't remember.

I only have one box unfortunately. So, if I attack with my box wielder I get extra mana, even if he gets a 0 HP hit?
Best I can muster is just over 1500 INT (then it is my first playthrough) on my Fire/Ice/Wind/Healer Witch (Level 52 now I think). When I met that Level 219 Samurai my INT was in the 500-600 region for my Witches.Last edited by Bassman; 25-08-2005, 12:56.

Best character at the moment i reckon is my CAT with mace deals roughly around 400 damage (more powerful moves do upwards of 600)
Starting to use robots and over pilotable weapons. There capable of tremendous distance and damage to.Go in launch a attack and still have enough movement to get far enough away

Finished. Got the Good Ending (fortunately). There did seem to be a lot of sitting watching at the end of the game.
Didn't manage to unlock the Disgaea characters (Flonne was far too powerful). Maybe next time.
My best character at the end was a Level 80 Witch with about 2300 INT. Certainly some nice items to be had, and huge amounts of EXP in the bonuses, towards the end of the game.
Eliminated my low level Academies and replaced them with two Level 50 Academies which were a little more robust.

I had built my characters up quite a bit.Found the last few levels a bit to easy. The level before the the last one i found fantastic to level up characters very quick possible exp bonuses of 8000+ 10000+ 14000+.At least there is some great stuff to look forward to once the game is completed and unlike with phantom brave will take a bit of time to do
Not sure what my best characters are now. They all seem to do a fairly decent amount of damage.Think i am going to experiment with resurrection se if i can make some all powerful characters

My level 80 Witch has all the elemental spells (up to Omega) plus Heal and Espoir (maybe some more priest spells if there was enough "room" for them. The 32 skill limit does make it a little more difficult with magic characters. I suppose on a fighter it is OK.
I need to get back to Chapter 3 Mpa 4 so I can get some extra Mana for my weaker characters.
