Fired it up briefly earlier on and played through the tutorial section and need to ask is there any other bits in the game where you are spoken too directly as a player? Fair enough it was a tutorial mission, and it was nicely done, but I was getting flashbacks of Omikron (Quantic Dreams previous game) where the main character was asking you to jump through the monitor and help save their world...or at least something along those lines. At that moment, the atmosphere popped like a party balloon

peo: Be aware that the US version is cut. Specifically, the sex sequences have been edited out. The EU version is free from any edits, and as such represents the game in its intended state...

(Picked this up at lunch. Have done first three scenes, despite some fluffs in the third one. It's really enjoyable. It also feels... important. Impressive. Significant. Can't wait to find out what happens next, and I've just hit a fork...)

That's a bummer, I've only got a US Xbox. I've got a UK PS2 - anyone played that version to see how it compares with Xbox?

I played the demo, it plays exactly the same, just has the slight ps2 jaggo vision and a smidge of slowdown (moreso in 60hz though, not in 50hz ..weird). but its all about the story, not the graphics, so just buy it

Had a play of the full Xbox version this evening. Nice game, lovely atmosphere especially and I like the unusual interface.

Graphics are a bit smudgey but at least they're 60fps most of the time. Amazing soundtrack too, - was composed by Angelo Bandalamenti, famous for his work with Jean Pierre Jeunet on The City of Lost Children and A Very Long Engagement.

Finished it just now after it sucked me in and had me playing all evening and well into the night. Great game. At times while playing it did strike me that it's little more than an interactive movie, but it doesn't seem to matter; the story is engrossing and the ride is very enjoyable. Feels like a mix of "Max Payne", "Eternal Darkness" and "The Matrix", I thought.

If you liked the scene at Kane's workplace, you'll love some of the later "action sequences". Sure, you're just tapping buttons like you're playing a rhythm game, but you still feel really cool pulling off those moves.

But most famous, I'd say, for his work with David Lynch, especially on Twin Peaks.

I think I'm going to have to pick this up today. Read the GamesTM review of it this morning and its got me quite excited about its potential.

Can someone help me? I'm having trouble with

a QTE in Lucas' apartment where wind is blowing and you have to dodge furniture. The QTE isn't the hard part... the L and R track and field part is. It seems completely random - I'm pressing L and R as fast and as hard as I can but I keep being blown against the wall.

Haven't had that bit yet. I *have* just had the first Lucas-at-work sequence, which was a) utterly brilliant and b) cannot be discussed.

My favourite QTE so far, though, is playing the guitar on my own, waiting for Lucas' ex to turn up. Brilliant. Very natural.

I didn't have any problems with any of the L and R moments really, so I'm not sure what's causing you problems. You basically just tap the buttons alternately L and R as fast as you can. Don't try to match the blinking of the L and R symbols on-screen, you don't need to and they're flashing too slowly compared to how fast you have to hit the shoulder buttons anyway. Another thing is; what difficulty level are you playing at? The difficulty level only affects the action sequences so you can always try to lower it from the options menu. I played through the game on the default normal rating, for the record, I haven't tried the more difficult one.

Started playing this today and I'm really enjoying it although I bought it on PC and the QTE bits can be a bit hit and miss with the Keyboard/Mouse combo - is it easier on the XBox?

I think I'm going to have to start again and pick up the PS2 or PC version. The problem is that the Xbox triggers are complete **** for rapid track and field type dynamics, although it doesn't excuse Quantic Dreams. They should have been able to alter the design to suit the platform.
