Yeah, the girlfriend and I were gutted when Limberg left. Couldn't face playing the game much once we knew he wasn't around no more. However since then Limberg is back in tha hood!

I caught loads of fireflies last night. Nook was offering 300 bells each but managed to flog them for 800 each in the flea market this morning. Result!

Ok, I'm new to the party and I (and my wife who won't give me my ****ing DS Lite back now!) have some questions :

Paintings : I have one, have never seen another apart from one Redd sold me and I found out it was fake and is useless to me! (Or is it?) Where the hell do you get them from?

Redd : Is he completely dodgy or does he sell anything good? After I bought the fake painting, the next morning I went out and some bastard sold me "insurance" - I tried turning him down I couldn't end the conversation without paying, everytime I said no he said he'd lower the price (but didn't) and eventually I gave in and bought it! My wife didn't get the same thing happen but then she didn't even go into Redd's tent!

Fish : Is it based on time of day/week/month/year what fish you catch? I found a MASSIVE thing with a fin sticking out of the water but can't catch it, every time i try it pretends to bite then ****s off!

Villagers : They ask for things I can't give, and have NEVER seen...For example Poncho (or Hugh, I forget) KEEPS asking for orange furniture which neither my wife nor I have EVER seen? I thought I had one but it must have been yellow since he said "No thanks, I really want ORANGE furniture"...

Insects : I seem to have just under half of them, can't find anything new (same with fish actually) and have come to a dead end...spiders/etc I can't find ANY of. I do keep finding a thing that legs it away from me that could be a spider, but I can never find it without it running off!

What are people talking about with getting photos of villagers? We had "Friga" say she was gonna leave (which we liked cos we hated her) but she didn't then out of the blue Egbert (who I liked a lot) just disappeared only sending a letter to my wife and I (each) when he'd already left...but no photo or anything!

Thats all I can think of right now. Any tips would make my wife and I very happy!

Hello Mr and Mrs Jebus and welcome to the sometimes frustrating world of Animal Crossing.

Paintings - They are only sold by Redd who visits once a week. Some are fake but some are authentic, it's just pot luck so keep buying.

Fish & Insects - They are season specific as well as time of the day. Wandering around at night time will often unearth some insects you wouldn't normally see. There is a good website here:

which tells you what time of day as well as what month to catch things. The fish with a fin would have been a shark and relatively rare so keep trying.

Pictures - When you become good friends with a villager they will eventually give you pictures of themselves (how vain?!). You need to talk to them everyday, send them letters etc.

I think the gyroid things are just for collection. I think you can order them from Nook if you want so don't worry about selling them on. I've got loads in my town if anyone needs any.

Pitfalls are just jokes. If you don't like one of your villagers you could bury one outside their front door!
