Fantastic fun, it feels just spot on and the lack of pop-up is highly impressive.

I have been playing for the last 3 or 4 hours and the game rules. Had some great games with mates, sometimes really close, sometimes pathetically far apart. The lack of pop up is almost a put off as you can't help but look up for it expecting it to appear, but it never does.

Only done a few races, but I've been seriously impressed so far. Regardless of the "30fps vs 60fps" debate, the motion blur adds another layer of realism that's we've not really encountered before, and add that to the stunning in-car view and you have one of the most convincing racers out there...well except when you reach the first corner and the handling goes all arcadey

Its awesome as expected. Online doesn't seem quite as solid with poor voice comms though, and its very very easy to spin someone out if you tap the car of their car. It's also very weird not having lap/total times being displayed! What a strange design move?
Perhaps a patch will come along that fixes the easy spinouts and improves audio.

Incredible game though, and the in-car view is the best out there. I imagine I'll be far exceeding my 30,000+ miles travelled in PGR2 with this game.

God damn this game is hard! So much harder than PGR1 or 2 imo! Took me nealry an hour to do the first stage

I have an online "Trueskill" of 10 now. I rox!

I tried playing a game with YoshiMax last night, but for some reason it paused on the starting line. I could rev my engine, look left\right, change view etc, but just could not move. I could even hear the others racing around and talking to each other

I read that having your PC connected can cause problems on Live, so switched it off and joined another game and it ran like a dream. Unlike my driving.

Anyone tried the photo mode? It rocks.

so am i the only one who can't race ANYBODY online?? everytime i try to join a race it says "Unable to communicate with all players" and then boots me back to the title screen.

PDZ works fine online, but man it's all about PGR3 for me,and not being able to race anybody online is really starting to piss me off!!

Oh,and this game completely owns me!

I found that the voice coms sucked, but it is alot better if you use your old xbox headset and turn down the volume from the menu that comes up when you press the 360 button. The 360 seems to be very sensitive whatever comes down the mic so it works a bit better if you move it a bit further from your mouth it seems to work better.

Few hours in or so, looks great, but unfortunately i couldn't even get a advanced scart, so the screens slightly out and you can see lines e.t.c, but hopefully the lead will do the trick on i'm on course to get HDTV first few months in (unless something comes up!)

Got to say, i am a massive fan of pg2, and this game to me makes PGR2 feel pedestrian and i rate pgr2 and it is a great game, and still is a great game, my point is, yes, this game made the leap to next gen and that is what it is all about.

Races are great, they have a great feel to them, some of the ingame music is brilliant, i've heard, bangra?, classical, rock(ish), just nice variation.

I've just bought my first concept car (i think i did) it is fast, you can feel the speed much better on pgr3, i'll keep this short as i don't think i'm saying anything new, but this isn't disappointing atall, and i've had a few gaming disappointments recently.

One thing i did notice was i have now housed my console in my tv stand and the back of unit was very hot, and this was from being in an open space, i hope that wont be a problem.

Just to finish, i can only seeing this becoming more deeper, more challenging, better cars, it is getting a big thumbs up from me!

                      Step 1. Play PGR3
Step 2. Steam Initial D playlist from connected iPod
Step 3. Enjoy the greatest racing experience ever.

I'm off to tear up Tokyo with 'Heart Beat' belting out. This game is rocking my world.

This game is AMAZING! Where are people saying the graphics look like current gen coming from? It is stunning!

'Cause they are fools, perhaps? Or maybe because they are blind.

Everytime I race at night in-car I actually laugh out loud at the insane detail the game throws at you. I love it when you get a car behind you and the headlights are reflecting off your windscreen, or perhaps the neon Las Vegas lights shining through the windscreen.. SO awesome.

I have never known a racing game as immersive as PGR3, and its really down to the in-car view, it has changed everything. Gran Turismo 5 HAS to have it now. One other cool moment was yesterday. I was screaming down the Brooklyn Bridge in my Mac F1, in-car, 5.1 pumping out, and I overtook a Ferrari F40. The noise coming from that thing was incredible, and the audio positioning in the game is sick.

Probably into double figures(hours) since starting this yesterday (is there an option for time played?) and i got to say, i'm loving it, changed the music settings to play more classical than anything else, i'm not a boffin on classical but some of the pieces seem to fit rather nice with driving.

There definitely is a wow factor to looking and playing this game (to me anyway) and after the initial wow goes away and you start to (or atleast try) look at the detail in the crowd, the buildings, the road! it is simply breath taking (on standard tv too)

Now need to notch it up a level, i'm going through medium too easy, it isn't easy as such, but there is no real challenge, you can buy a pretty decent car after playing the game for just a hour or so (format is different to pgr2)

I already gave this game a thumbs up, but it really does deserve it, i'll me back on a few more hours tonight.

Negative points...um, well, honestly nothing so far, this game really is a joy to play and the visuals are impressive.

If you like racing games, this game will put you in racing heaven!

Just need to get on-line now and get my bum beat as i've mainly been playing medium setting!

                            Peace, Love, Harmony.

                            EDIT

Just let my brother bang it on, *gasp* get someone else to play it and watch, it is awesome!

The thing about the challenges is they're dynamic to the car you're driving. The Speed tests are the most obvious: choose a F355 and the target speed will be lower than the Enzo, so actually it doesn't matter what car you're using, the game adapts to it. Brilliant (though this is probably class related rather than car - still ace though).

I thought that the Gotham TV stuff might be a gimmick, and it sort of is, I was hoping you'd pick up driving tips, but you're actually better off doing this in the time trial stuff, that shows true skills, not this Kudos stuff, but actually, it's quite fun when you're tired of racing and want a breather.

Nice spot Marty G, i didn't know that about the speed tests, i've just done a hardcore one, i was in my Mclaren and made it just, but this was on a early part of the game, and this game is progressing rather nice too.

The format reminds me alittle of burnout 4, although i can't be 100% sure as that is just too arcade for me, the whole just hit a car thing to me isn't a good idea, so i didn't enjoy it like 1, 2, 3, i still have a soft spot for 2.

Anyway, pgr3 is somewhere in between arcade and sim, forza is more sim and drving that racing i think, but i like pgr3, i really couldn't believe when i saw my brother play it how stunning it really does look, i'm still pineing for HDTV!

EDIT, i don't want to contradict myself as i do like arcade games alot, maybe burnout 4 can be classed as arcadey, i just didn't take to the no manouvering around cars e.t.c.
