Don't forget the amount of areas that exploration can reveal. If you fast travel all the time, then that's fair enough, but you are rewarded for making your own way there, trust me.

I've just found Sideways Cave, and another area beginning with V that i've forgotten the name of and went through exploring to my heart's content... I made 1.7k in gold, and I can almost afford to buy my own house, just by looting these two places. I could've made far more were I not almost over-encumbered.

I *LOVE* this game. I've just completely forgotten the quests right now, i'm just going out exploring..

Me too, Once I got outside I headed of after the first proper quest but I've been sidetracked at every turn and haven't made very far. I'll be wandering along and spot some distant building or landmark or mountain and think "I wonder what that is?" And thats another hour or so spent exploring.

      AWESOME game so far.

Add me to the list, it's really amazing.

I was on 'till gone 3 last night and didn't want to come off then, just got into the thieving guild and am loving all the side quests.

One thing i forgot to ask

Is the buy and sell system done better in oblivion?

What has surprised me is the general size of the completely random dungeons you stumble across. Some of them take over an hour to get through, but the rewards can be awesome!

I've picked up a few magical enchanted items now, which rock

Also surprising is the depth of some of the side-side-quests. I'm not talking the main plot or even the guilds - last night I spent all night on a quest line completely seperate to any other story line - it even had twists in the story! Now I have official status in one of the main towns. Awesome

Can anybody drop an opinion about a possible comparison with one of my fav games:MIGHT AND MAGIC 9?

              Thanks!

started the 360 one last night after playing the pc one.

                main differences

360 has 30fps cap, so if uve playd through any of the pc one ull know it instantly doesnt feel as smooth. BUT, because of this cap, u dont notice the slowdown like u do on the pc (whre ull be dropping from 60 to >30 at times) so it results in a more consistant visual experience. the 360 has AA too, its only 2x u can tell but it still makes a difference. and yes it does look like the pc one with everything on max, except self shadowing actually works.

as for controls, well i do really like the controls on 360, everythign feels like its in its right place. the only down sides are picking up the right objects from a table is much hardware without a mouse, as is aiming spells/arrows.

so anyway, im going to stick with the 360 one i think, as i was up till 3am despite meaning to go to bed at 12 "just steal from one more house...")

i'll see if i can do pics of both versions but not sure thers much point

I suffered from the exact same problem

I'm having trouble connecting my 360 back up to Live through my PC (Windows is being a cock). Am I missing anything by playing this offline? I was under the impression that it's strictly single player (no downloadable in-game content yet).

Your not missing anything until some downloadable content gets released, it's solely offline.

Having fun then chaps? I'm off to pick mine up from the god damn sorting office now! I keep delaying though because I just am so excited and the more I wait the more I want to play! I've tidied the house, done washings, loaded dishwasher, had breakfast. And I'll nip down to the shops first to get EVERYTHING out the way for the next 5 or 6 hours so I can sit down and be totally engrossed!

My mates been jumping his horse off cliffs now he said, great fun apparently!!

When are the horse armour downloads going to be available?

Uptill 1:30am last night and then from 7:30-9am this morning on this, and I'm totally addicted. The atmosphere and feel of the game just drags you in. The game looks absolutely stunning, I was looking forward most to the countryside, which looks great, but it has been the towns which have blown me away. All the tudor style buildings and burning streets lamps are just a sight to behold.

Took me longer than most I think to get out of the catacombs, but after a conversation with momo late last night (while he was stuck in someones basement for an hour or two ) it would seem that I had managed to raise my difficulty to max before I started, making life a little more difficult Reset it back to default now and life has become allot easier, no longer do rats take me out with ease. I stuck with Wood Elf in the end, as I had started to bond with my character and went with warrior and archer for my sign and class.

I finished to first main story quest after exiting the catacombs, and then just played around in the imperial market area for the rest of the night, stalking dodgy shop keepers. Also joined a couple of guilds, fighter and mage, and I'm going to try and get myself into the theives guild tonight. I've done a few side quests as well which were a laugh, and also dragged me out of the towns and got me exploring.

What is the deal with the dark brotherhood, I know you have to get invited to join, but is it only if you are a certain class ?

Funniest moment so far, is a camp highway man trying to mug me. I refused to pay his 200G bounty, at which point he tried to take it from me, but died with one blow from my new double handed sword. Teh gay highwaymen will not mess with me again 8)
