Play it for a while - it's deep

Then come back and talk to us again.

Thanks for the words of support - and my - that is a thorough forum post there Mr Hewett.

There may well be cheats to unlock the cars on PS2/PSP - so don't sweat about not owning both versions. They'll be out soon enough :P

I'll be checking in for any questions, once I've had a decents nights sleep...

Sol, you are a god amongst men.

That holiday you're taking is very, very well deserved. Just been playing this on PS2.

        Absolutely f*cking fantastic.

Each of these then have Heart Attack modes etc... I genuinely find it really confusing as to what's what. Anyone be good enough to explain it to me, as i'm clearly being a bit thick
It appears that the front menu versions are straight arcade versions, whilst the other single player versions rack up miles for you.

I'll take your word for it. There's 808 posts in that thread. Saved me a few quid I guess.
            Kept you waiting, huh?

Does this work on 360? I really want it but havent got an xbox. If it works on 360 I may as well buy one of those.

After getting thoroughly pissed off with Luis Frois in Onimusha DoD, I put this on and it ENTIRELY restored my faith in videogames.

Absolutely loving it, first new game for my Xbox since OutRun 2!

Surely it won't be on sale until Friday? If it's today I'll pop into game on my way home from work..

LAME wouldn't let it go yesterday when I went in there, despite having shelves full of them. The idiots. I had to go to an independent and pay an extra ?5. Impatience got the better of me, and I didn't even get an official UK PAL one.

I'm really enjoying the single player mode this time around. I thought the mission mode in OutRun2 was a bizarre mess with many missions far too short to get any real enjoyment out of them. It's much better in Coast 2 Coast with lots of races where you have a nice amalgamation of courses from OutRun2 and SP, plus an excellent shopping/rewards system in place as well.

I prefer the SP courses to the original ones too. Perhaps it's because they're fresher and look better, although I played them many times in the arcades. I just think they're much tighter. It's great that there's the 15 stage continuous in there as well, sorely missing in OutRun2. I just wish they'd also put in 30 stage continuous with courses from both games!

Shame it's not on 360. I think it'd do really well on the system, since now that March is over there's a lack of quality games for a while and you know loads of people would pick it up. Like with Full Auto, not even 1/10th as good as this yet sold well since it was released in early Feb on 360 and people were desperate for a new game. If SEGA had sense, they'd commission this for PS3 launch for the same reason.

Haha, I know it's as deep as the ocean, it's just that I also think the OR2 was nigh on gaming perfection in terms of balance and depth. I cannot emphasise enough how good a job the Sumo boys and girls did last time around. C2C adds to this in droves, which is absolutely brilliant as well.

The racing missions are certainly a lot better than they were in OR2. OMG

15 stage race against 98 opponents?! I almost died

Now am I seeing things or

Did a dragon just not fly over my car in place of the birds in when picking which route I wanted? Surely it cannot be, but it wasn't no flock of birds thats for sure.
