Well I do think its limited but I think what is there overall is of a high quality. Whether you like the nature of the game/sport and how its been replicated here or not you cant really bitch about the quality of the controls, camera, graphics, audio or any other facet of this title as a video game.
In multiplayer online or offline with a worthy opponent it is pretty much hard to fault. At all other times the AI is acceptable and generally its just to practise a few things. For your money or mine I would of liked more but I think Rockstar put the value where it really counts.
The online tournaments, exhibition and spectator modes all work really well. I cant see how having doubles would of been fun given the size of the table/court, it just wouldnt of worked.
What I would of liked to see would of been some form of create-a-player mode allowing you to make your own character. This could of been excellent as the in-game models are amazing. Perhaps some skill tests to level up and distribute points earned either online or offline against AI... that sort of thing.
Overall this is still a great title but only in multiplayer.Comment

Since the advent of live I have pretty much given up on single player games,they just don't excite me. I wouldn't have minded a carrer mode but I'm pretty sure I would have given up on it before completion.
I have played through lots of the single player game simply to unlock the additional characters but Live is where its really at...just wish I was any good!Comment

Okay, so I was really, really enjoying a tournament and won the first round of the final 11-4...
Then the bitch went crazy...I couldn't get a point...I almost smashed my 360 pad in half.
I want to love this game because its fun when its challenging but not too challenging...but at some points its just ridiculously hard and I don't enjoy it even slightly.
I went from enjoying the game to hating it and I mean really hating it. I don't mind losing but when the shots that are being played against you are physically impossible...well the fun just died for me.
Will play it online but the single player ... its dead to me.Comment

I can't decide whether I like this or not. One minute I'm enjoying it, the next I'm ready to take it back to Game for a refund.
When I first played it I was unimpressed, and both me and my brother found it quite dull. I stuck with it for a while though, and started to enjoy it more. Finished the easy tournament, played a few online games and did ok, so decided it was worth keeping.
Then I stuck it on again today for a few online matches and got hammered by everybody I played. I could barely win a point. It was just a string of humiliating defeats, with me always ending up completely out of position and having no chance of reaching the return ball. Either that or I'd keep hitting it up in the air and setting my opponent up for a smash.
It's one of the most infuriating games I've played in recent times, and I was ready to throw my pad at the floor in disgust earlier, but I can't help wanting to load it up again for another go....Comment

I know just how you feel, I enjoy it but when playing against people I have no killer shot. We could just have a massive rally then I either make a mistake or they smash the ball past me.Comment

Your comment about a lack of a killer shot is very familiar. Against certain people I just can't do any damage while against others I find it so easy. The thing is that it varies even if I use the same character and so do my opponents...basically what I am saying is that i'm still crap at the game!Comment

Has anyone noticed this game has a proper 4:3 view? I'm playing it in 1280x1024 and it's full screen but doesn't look stretched at all. Thank you Rockstar, for being considerate of us poor 4:3 monitor users
