Fantastic stuff mate!!1! Will be around tonight for more games.

Wait till you see the B.O.S.S in Score Attack/some Story Mode games, she makes the ship one look like childs play.

I nearly cried when that thing rinsed for me for ages at first.

I reached the last stage on score attack last night also. That's the first boss I fought on Story mode, I didn't think it was terribly difficult in comparison.

Started off with 4 charges and just kept using the missile field on it. Got it down to 1/4 of it's blue health bar then it just rinsed me proper.

      Next time, though...

Bleeders, you seem to have finished story mode with everyone now. Which characters do you rate?

I've still not tried everyone yet, infact I haven't played the game at all for ages... but I felt Cuilan was probably the one I liked using best.

Leaves me with Score Attack do now now.

Changpo and Sakurako seem to be the characters of choice online. I quite like Changpo myself, although Silvergun X plays a mean Sakurako. I don't mind using Ernula either, although the character I can't quite get on with is Mika, useless with her.

@SG - See, that B.O.S.S was a vertiable nightmare for me especially when it goes into it's first form laser beam, it takes all the Dash nuances to avoid getting caught in that. Then you got her second form, which requires you to be in "the zone", ignore her and concentrate navigating through the bullets whilst firing.

Karel was the first character I went through the game with, quite liked his repertoire of attacks, but it's about Changpo for me.

              I'm a one woman man!

Yeah, costumes and artwork from what I can tell.

Apparently, new costumes en' stuff will be available on the Marketplace at some point according to G.Rev.

I WANT a SNR Theme and Gamerpics though.

Something SG pointed out last-night that I hadn't noticed before, I'm wondering if changing the Cart Type affects the base moves of the character?

Do you mean the huge red beam that it fires through the center before moving in a circle around the screen?

You need to stay near the middle of the screen and move in small circles around the center point for around a solid 30 seconds before it kills the laser.

Confirmed this morning that it does.

Cartridge A with Sakurako for instance - Her sub attack will home in towards the enemy a LOT stronger than with Cartridge B, which tends to fire a but 'dumb' and slowly attract towards the enemy. Better observed in a dash.

The standard attacks stay the same but behave differently between cartridges, and the barrage moves and command moves can be completely different.

Fantastic, do the B.O.S.S properties change much using different Cartridges have you noticed mate?

EDIT - http://ntsc-uk.domino.org/showthread.php?t=61877 -- organising games here all.

I *THINK* so. I'm at work at the moment until about 6pm so I can't confirm until this evening, but I think boss bullet sprays are different on different cartridges.

I could however, just be talking out of my arse. I'll look into it.

The more I play this game, the more of an obsession I can feel it becoming.

                                At first, it was good.

                                Then, it was absolutely fantastic.

                                Now, I just.. wow.

Once you get to train with someone, learn the system together, and the little quirks like multiple dashing, dash cancelling, manual antifields, the game just gets better and better.

At first I was trying to play this like I played Virtual On, with dash-countering and a lot of dash attacks. It worked to an extent, but when you start performing tiny little dashes, cancelling them off, following up with a stunning attack then following that up with a vulcan hit, it brings it into a world of it's own.

I have to admit - The first few times I played it, I disliked the movement. It didn't feel smooth, didn't seem to flow for me.

Now, all manner of maneouvers (sp?) are possible.

I cannot recommend this game enough. I know this has been said before, but it's more than worth the price of a JP 360.
