I should also say that despite that, you'll probably end up playing through the game 3/4 times anyway, so anything you miss you'll catch at some point. It's a lovely way of keeping the game fresh each playthrough.

even though i've acheived some things now (escort missions)

will they happen again or because they've been completed thats them finished

like i've done the first 2 case files so when the game starts on my second time around will they be completed and i start at case file 3

just dont want about 5-8 missions on my screen at one time again and complete the same mission twice

The game is the same each time you play it through but it's nearly impossible (if not completely impossible) to see every cut-scene and fight every pyscho in one playthrough.

Every survivor is there on every playthrough, every case-file needs doing again on each playthrough, but on some playthroughs you can just say "bugger em" and do other things.

It's pretty open ended, some achievements require certain methods and things to be done.

Also, as you play again and again you're level will be higher and it will get very easy allowing you to concentrate on things. But yeah, theoretically you will have to complete the missions over and over, but you don't have to.

I missed one of the main case missions but rather than reload my save I decided to just go through the 72 hours and explore the mall, build some skills and save some people. Finished that last night.

The third day must be fairly packed with the main story because, after the second night, the mall died. The yellow jacket guys vanished, the jeep convicts vanished, there was nobody around to save, no calls from Otis and there was nothing going on at all. It gave me a chance to explore and get to know the mall but I actually got bored as there was nothing to do except kill zombies to pass the time.

So the helicopter arrived and I went off with my 15 survivors. Most of the people to save are idiots and I couldn't count the number of people I lost while they decided to detour through hordes of zombies.

There's still loads I haven't done. I can't get through just about any of the locked doors and have no idea where those keys are (probably part of the case missions). Haven't got the hang of any of the fighting moves either. I can do some of them but never consistantly so I rarely ever try to pull them off in case I fail and get eaten.

Should I ask why the zombies never attack the yellow jacket guys?

This maybe the case on the first or second playthroughs but once Frank is maxed and you are in the possesion of Adam`s chainsaw plus books is is very achievable to get all the cutscenes, survivors and psycho`s on one playthrough as moving from one stage of the game to another is effortless and time nolonger becomes a factor.

There are a couple of achievements though where you may want to start a go off purely for the desired achievement.

Godammit! I eventually managed to kill the convicts, went and did some other stuff and the next time I went to the park they were back! It has to be a bug as no other similar enemy has ever respawned. They were definitely dead - I drove their jeep (and then totalled it with their heavy machine gun).

I'm very disappointed in that. Has that happened to anyone else or did I just encounter some weird glitch? I don't know if I can be assed killing them again.

Edit: Appears this happens to everyone. Pain in the ass.

Very true actually. A couple of the achievements (indoorsman/outdoorsman) required a wired pad for me.

Outdoorsman : Start a new game, on the helipad just dont move.

Indoorsman : When outdoorsman is done, walk inside the security area, and dont move for 24 in-game hours.

                  Tedious but easy.

At level 50 the game is childs play. Triple booked chainsaws make it too easy to even bother.

I just took the battery pack off and left the controller powered through the play and charge kit.

One of the few achievements I have left is the 5/7 day survivor awards. I was astonished when I was unable to save. God only knows how anyone has the time to play this straight - let alone leave the 360 on wasting electricity.

Well I finished this today with the cases complete (which I hadn't done the last time). I loved it. Great game. Have to say I found the B ending (not completing the cases) a bit more satisfying than what should be the better ending, A.

In the B ending, I actually saw the survivors I saved get rescued. Jesse was safe. I was safe. In the A ending, I have no idea what happened to the people I rescued. There's a good chance they were all killed by the soldiers. Everything went to **** when the army got involved and I'm out in the middle of nowehere in a tank. My pilot died for no real reason - I mean, nothing I did should have changed that outcome.

I also found the last 12 hours a bit of a drag as there was nothing to do and overtime mode was just a trip around a mall that I'd already spent three days in. Just a little less satisfying overall. With both doing the cases and not doing them, I find the decision to have nothing at all happening in the last 12 hours very baffling.

Great game though. Could do with far better survivor AI and a general polish if there's a sequel but very enjoyable.

Same here. At that point I gave up no the game. I HATE achievements like this which basically reward people with more time than sense.

now at level 22 and i'm only using one of the books at the moment

will look into the others later

trying to save this new girl in a cd store and she tells you that all her family were bitten and turned and she just stops talking to you

i like the missions where you have to help them along or hold onto them, otherwise they normally run into a ton of zombies

anyway - so far seen my favourite bit

had the katana and did a double lariat and cleared the entire shop except for 1 zombie out of reach and i was in and at the end of the double lariat if you have a weapon when you do this move you either drop it or throw it and i threw the katana into the chest of the lone zombie - felt quite good

If you read the note on next to the CCTV monitors in the security room after the survivors disappear, you'd know what happened...

Otis steals a military helicopter, I believe.

finished it last night and just minced about for 12 hours - which is a shame, felt bored just like the other chap that just finished it

just took photos to try and max myself as much as i could, the amount of zombies on screen was quite impressive

saved 17 people and got a B ranking for my troubles

but now level 25 about to start it for the 2nd time through

playing it through again and this time making sure that i keep all the case files open - case file 4 is about to start

this time i've got about 40 hours to go and i've only let 1 person die, even rescued jennifer from the box - mini chainsaws are tremendous - one mission entitled the coward is about to end and i wont have time to get to him, i had about 6 people following me and they were all idiots - so 2 dead so far which is far better than the last time

took a few attempts to beat the clown, but once you get his movements off he is quite easy and the shortcut helps alot, even fought the marine with the machete and beat him, but at level 30 i guess its quite easy - cant imagine what it was like when you fought him on the first play through

got the achievement for driving the jeep but when i ran through the gardens again the guys were back on the jeep driving around even though i bsically pumped all the bullets from the chain gun into the jeep to destroy it

it is true about the game getting better on the 2nd play, even though it was great on the 1st play through

1 mission i havent understood yet is the photograph mission where you have to go to Columbian roastmasters in Paradise plaza
