Btw, I think I'll pick up a 360-controller and the PC-version (hope it's good enough with 512MB RAM, 2800MHz and ATI Radeon 9800).

Anyone know how much the game cost at HMV or Virgin? Or wherever I can find the lowest price in London?

After playing this all day offline and online i'm kinda scratching my head thinking, has it actually been fun? Its more realistic and the pace is slower than previous editions, this makes for a more realistic game of football but was it to real.

For me the short passes are just to slow, i understand the reason behind slowing the players down speed wise, it makes you work harder for you goals but the passing has no reason to be as slow as it is.

The passes seem to carry more weight the more you hold the pass button as far as I can tell. It also helps a lot if you ensure your player's body is facing the intended reciever of the pass. This game relies heavily on body positioning in order to get out decent passes and shots.

Yeah I agree, Haven't managed to turn and shoot yet. It just goes sky high. To turn and shoot you have to turn make one step and then shoot. But you dont always have the room to make that step.

It's probably down to which player you turn and shoot with too. Sami Hyypia would probably plant it in row 39

The games official release date was today, when has any game worked well on live around the release date, I will tell you when... never. If the live problems persist next week and beyond THEN you can refer to this part of the game as broken, but FFS give it a chance!!

I tried creating my own online matches all day yesterday without a result, but today I have managed to get a game this way no probs.

There you go evidence that there are signs of improvement!!

I aint even taken the game on live yet as I am giving the new gameplay the time it deserves before I really crack into it. The game has taken more steps into the simulation side of things on the 360 and we can already see it is sufferring with many folk because of this.

For me the new gameplay is sublime, having to actually think about things liek body position, taking a god first touch, when to sprint, when to turn, how to turn, rather than having a lot of it takencare of for you makes for a more rewarding game. True it makes it more demanding but when things come together as they are starting to for me now, you really see what they have achieved on the gameplay side of things.

People can complain about missing stadiums and stuff like that all they want, they are missing the point. The gameplay is what sets Pro Evo apart from FIFA and the rest so if you cant get your head around it then its your loss IMO.

Now, I am off to win one of the national cups then kick off my Master League because I absolutely love Pro Evo 6 on the 360!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Im really in two minds weather or not to get this now. After hearing all the negitive comments and the fact there is no demo for it, im not sure i want to get it. Esspecially as i enjoyed the FIFA demo quite a lot, Konami need to stop being lazy bastards and release a demo of this.

Play this version along with the PS2 version and you'll find a better game on PS2 though I reckon, Mardigan8. I'll stick with this for the online tho.

I'd say give next gen footy another year to be honest.

Why? What steps forward has the PS2 version taken that the 360 aint? Other than retaining some minor elements like other stadiums, etc.

If i remember struggleing with pes5 to get on live at the start. Also the lag on pes5 was bad but this did get fixed so i think we will have this sorted over time(maybe months)

Just read most of this thread to help me decide if I should buy the 360 version. Some people are just so picky.

I mean no offense, but are editing teams, transfers and saving replays "the very basics of PES/WE games"?

I've been playing ISS/WE/PES since '98, and I think I've saved a replay once. Editing teams and transfers are useful, but surely it is all about the gameplay?

Of course, it is odd that features in the PS2 version and not in the 360 version. But I think I'd take HD, widescreen and Live any day.
