It's no secret that Shingho 'Seabass' san is a big Inter fan in real life, which explains why Adriano is a ****ing mutant on this.

Apparently, FIFA 07's online functionality ****s all over PES's from a great height.

My major gripe is that maximum difficulty master league is too easy. I went through a season only losing the one match.

One thing i am pleased with is the removal of the invisible walls that sprung up for the keeper. Whenever the goalie dived, then caught the ball, if he was diving backwards he wouldnt go over the line despite momentum meaning he should. Now the keeper slides over the line with the ball. Unless hes heading towards the goal line in which case he releases the ball and pushes it away.

Adriano is now PES' GOD player. No argument.

It wouldn't even be that bad if he was actually good, but it's annoying that Konami have him on the box, seen him in a few games last season or the season before, radically increased certain stats, and now cheats (maybe not cheats, but opportunists) use him to socre unrealstic , stupid goals.

I dont think Adriano is that much better then Rooney on it, he's just as fast, just as good at shooting and just as good at holding off players.

Personally having played tons of PES6 on the PS2 and then moving onto 360, i can say the 360 version isnt as good but it is still very good. I really enjoy playing it even tho i think the PS2 one is better, there is just something good about it.

Oh and EA should get some tips on player faces becuase the likenesses in this game are the best in any football game ever.

    I know, for sure.

I will never buy FIFA, and I know PES6 is still the best footy game around - nothing comes close (not even the yet again much hyped FIFA).

The thing is though, I've had the PC version since day of release. I'm majorly annoyed at that for the online not working 90% of the time since release and I'm afraid to say, PES6 PC hasn't clicked with me yet...so unfortunately, I doubt the inferior (based on what I've said above) 360 version will either.

I mean, I'm not about to load up PES5 again, never gone back to a PES and never will, I'm not that sort of person, but I can't help feel majorly screwed my Konami this year. Saying that, if it says PES or WE on it - I'll buy it, and the fact PES6 hasn't clicked for me makes me await PES7 even more than usual.

and hoolak...as Selix indicated, Adriano is a major joke. He's like the worst player in the world at the moment - he was actually sent away from Inter for being an overated, part boy piece of crap. Henry deserved it...and I suppose ZICO did when he was the best player on WE (but then, I'm not old enought to truly comment on legends like ZICO, PELE etc).

Where has my PES gone Seabass...on a plus note, it has made me play other games this year.

You're right. Henry was amazing on PES 5 because he was on the front cover. But we both know he's not as good in this one.

We saw a lot of these posts last October when it first came out. Just wait for it to click mate. It might never be as good as past pro evo's but it's the best footy game on 360 and the first Pro Evo. Roll on PES 7 but for now this is still decent even though it has it's little annoyances.

This is a review from someone who started with ISS on the SNES and has ever PES and Winning Eleven game on all formats.

    I love the PES series, and I used to play PES with my mate for entire days; that's why PES6 (especially the 360 version) hurts me so much;

I've had the PC version since release and have just picked up the 360 version for cheap.

It seems totally different than the PC version to me. Now the PC version is majorly flawed as well (is it me or is PES6 based on PES4 and not PES5?! - will the online ever be fixed etc etc etc), but I'll just concentrate on why the 360 version is tosh to me.

It's way to easy to score - I mean, you just have to shoot and it goes in. CRAP. The Adriano factor is ridiculous.

The players are too shiny - very FIFAish and overall....It just doesn't look as good as the PC Version (Running on high at 1360x768). Can't put my finger on exactly why it doesn't look as good, but it doesn't.

There is slowdown on the 360 version and yet it seems to be running too fast at times - it really does remind me of FIFA in the way it looks and plays. NOT GOOD. You can't get a decent passing game going when you have 11 Linford Christies going mad.

It wreaks of yet another KONAMI botch job - and think, the 360 version is like ?20 more than the PS2 version and ?30 more than the PC version. For example, right; it has the normal main menu and all the text is in capitals as it should be - and then in lowercase in another font is XBOX Live. It's just pathetic.

On a plus note, XBOX LIVE is simple ie it's basically PES5 online (but it's only 1 vs 1)...and, I can't think if this is on the PC version, but the GALAXY chocolate background is slightly animated. Whooo. NOTE: The same idiotic online loading bar is there, and when you set up a match and are awaiting an opponene -t Konami have managed to add yet another diabolical beep/sound/tune to it's plethora of nerve destroying music and noises.

    RETARDS.

    Terrible.

    SHAME ON YOU SEABASS.

Gotta hope they get their act together for the PS3 version (which I'm sure they will - we love Japs, let's bum Sony) of PES7 and then do their usual (lazy) yet workable ports of a good game for the PC and 360.

Hold the right trigger and back off from the attacker. This then causes your defender to back away from the opposing player with an open stance thats harder to get around. Also when pressing A for pressure hold X as well which gets another defender to double team the attacker. Though be careful you dont leave your defence wide open.

I have my thumb over both X and A whenever I don't have the ball.

Oh man online he's my nemesis too. But what really gets my goat is that when I play as Brazil or Barcelona I don't seem to be able to use him half as well as the people who use him against me.

Thanks revisedgenocide. Have had a little more joy in front of goal (average about 2 goals per game) ; Ironically it's my defense thats letting me down now after being super solid to begin with.

I'm allowing players to nimble past me too easy. Ronaldinho of Barca is my current enemy number 1.

I'm using A to pressure - any other advice ???

Best way to get quick hard passess down is to position your player so that he'l hit the ball with his stronger foot and dont try to be to clever. Simpler is better .
Heading is tough in pes6 but the double tap B cross is your friend. If your player gets under the ball then the chances of hitting the target are slim so try a last minute headed pass across the face of goal instead. Like passing its all about how your players body is positioned. Keep an eye on your radar and if you see a player steaming into the box aim for him as opposed to a player already stationed in the box whose lost momemtum and may have to step back to take the header. To aid this use the Counter Attack strategy throughout the game. Take the ball down the wings on a break and rifle the ball into the box with a double tap B cross.
Im a master league man myself so cant help much on the last point. Just remember power is the key and physical frame also plays its part (e.g Peter crouch).
