Similar problem to the one i have online nips, the offline game is so different and you can build up play and are 90% of the time in control. But every time i go online people just charge at you non stop and when they are playing with brazil its bloody hard to beat them tactically.

I'm opposite. I sky many of my chances in this version. It's weird, as I play the PS2 version in work every lunch time with mates and I don't have a problem with shooting.

Oh, and does anyone else find that they score and conceed loads more goals in this than PES5? I Wwas playing my buddy (another one) and we seem to have really high scoring games: 4-5, 3-5, 4-4... I wonder if it's because our finishing is more clinical, or whether they've made it much easier.

Shoot with X, then hold direction and press and hold Y. It's effective with strong players from outside the box, esp. if the ball's coming towards them or there are too many people around you to do anything, so just unleash.

    I need some help though:

My one friend is, well, the most annoying opponent ever. He always plays as Chelsea, which isn't a problem in itself, he's supported them his whole life and while they're excellent they're not unbeatable, but he never lets go of A and never changes player.

If you're attacking, and running down the wing for example, he'll have 1 person right behind you the entire time kicking your heels until he fouls you. Chelsea also have a lot of fast players, so it's often impossible to out run them. He'll never change player, but what really annoys me is that when I try to do a big touch to get away from the player behind me, it normally goes too close to one of his players and it'll auto-change to that person, I'll lose the ball. I can't run full speed, I tend to lose the ball, but I can run in the middle because I'm getting tripped up from behind.

If I'm in the centre of the park, he holds down A again, he'll barge into you, knock you off the ball, and that used to be a foul, but it isn't anymore becuase it's meant to be more intense. I find myself having to pass it around quickly, too quickly and I end up just fudging it up and losing possession.

It's basically really frustrating and I lose my head and then normally conceed a ****ty goal, with the clinical finishing of Shev and Drogba, one mistake is all it takes often.

Any advice you can give... how do I make people off the ball make runs? often want my CF to run, so I can through ball it past the defence, but I find holding down the bumper to give-and-go only works when you've just passed the ball. I dunno, this is just doing my dome in, I need a sure-fire way to give myself more time on the ball and get him to stop fouling me and kicking my heels. Any ideas?

Starting the ML with the PES default squad (Castolo, Ximenez, Iouga and the likes) is the best way to play. Yeah it starts out effin' solid, but when you finally get your first decent signing, it slowly starts kicking off. You'll only probably sign a few non big names at first, but they will at least be better than what you got. Then you get your first big name signing... Tis great. Takes a bit of work, but is very rewarding if you stick at it.

Its always the same, struggle through the first season, get some quality in then start to put some results on the board. Am a few games into my first season in the top flight and am doing good. Its tight at the top with only 3 points seperating the top 5 teams but I am now through my sticky patch where I had 2 losses and 2 draws on the spin. Hauled myself back to the light with a fantastic 3-1 win against Chelsea and sitting good in 3rd spot right now. Aiming for top 3 finish and a cup win hopefully, then bring in some more quality players.

I started with the default players from Celtic so wasn't too bad at start but not great either as they only have a few good players, but slowly building my team up. Cant beat the Master League man, its superb once you get into it and get the team you want, give it time.

I find myself cheering when i get a 0 - 0 draw. Hopefully it gets easier when i can buy some players.
I finally got round to starting a master league lastnight (after winning all the cup modes) and I'm in the same boat as you... those players are ****e! Playing all my matches on 5 min length just so I can get to the transfer window as soon as.

I also find it hard to get a game on live, i've only played 3 games in 3 nights of trying.

Oh man, I love this game. I only play it with my mates, but damn, it looks and plays so well. That middle shoot and hard shot are invaluable. As is just running the ball around the keeper - that seems easier.

Much better game than PES5, let down only by its lack of extras.

Mate, Double Agent is gaming crack at the moment.

Most of my Pro Evo buddies are all pissing off back to Pro Evo 5 if/until it gets sorted. Thing is, when the game is working fine and the lag is minimal, it's tolerable, thing is it shouldn't be tolerable, it should run at least as good as Pro Evo 5 does these days.

I feel jipped because Seabass said they worked on getting the one versus one experience working as if the player was sitting next to you, which clearly hasn't happened at all. I don't have any doubts that this was rushed to meet release, it's an unfinished game and I paid ?40 for the "privilege".

Thanks Bleeders - You just convinced me. If you can't even get along with it I've got **** all hope. When I saw you kicking off SCDA on Saturday morning (and still there at Teatime ><) I knew something was wrong

    It's going back.
