As for goals of the day etc they need look no further than VT3 which has got that side down nicely.

I really dont get why people love the PS pad so much for pro evo. I find the triggers work really well for sprint and player change on the 360 pad, and id never go back to using a d-pad.

This version is not one to be played hours on end as you will get very frustrated and probably end up breaking something, speaking from experience of course! If you play it now again (which I do now) then you will enjoy it and not get as frustrated because you probably won't come across most of the littel annoying things.

In respect to the next version they definately need to add the replay saving, online tourney's and something similar to Virtua Tennis 3's VT-TV (PES TV?). As for which version, I think they will be pretty much the same and online play on the 360 will swing it for me!

Personally, I'm used to playing it on a PS pad. In work, it is played every lunch time without fail on a PS2. I'm 100% D-Pad user. Personal preference innit?

Although Ezee has a good point about the online. Live poos over PSN for stability... I think. Grrr you've started a mental tug of war for me

I am just posting to issue a sincere apology to this game on the 360.

I joined the early feeding frenzy trashing the 360 version and singing the praises of the PS2. Now thanks to the sony botch on back compatibility I got hold of a 2nd hand copy to gve it another go.

I'm now hooked, not only is it a superb deep footy sim with many subtle refinements and enhancements over the ps2, but the rock solid lag free live setup and the ability to get a game any time morning noon or night has me totally hooked.

If that wasn;t enough I had the joy this morning of seeing my 9y old son come back from 3-0 against a German division 1 player to win 3-4 in extra time.

I'm a convert and will not be dissing Seabass and the team around Nov when & comes out, promise.

Wow, just got this today after a lifetime of hatred for Pro Evo. God knows why, its amazing!!


I'm crap at it but was playing a game there, 0-0 the whole way through, I was mauling the opposition, so many shots and tons of possession but just couldnt get that 1 goal. Got to the 90th minute, I needed a win so I didnt slip down the league more and carved a lovely attack using 4-5 players passing quickly up the pitch then onto Smith in his first touch of the game after being subbed on and smashes it past the keeper from the edge of the box. I jumped out my seat and cheered as if it was real football!

Such an ace game.

Good to see someone getting back in to the Pro Evo series! You might have this intial phase of loving it but soon you will start to notice the "cracks" in the game.....but then after that "not so much liking" phase you go back into the "liking it" phase. That happened with me for sure, and I'm sure I am not the only one!

thing narking me at the moment is all the people online playing as Inter.

really think the balance is screwed up with Adriano, who couldn't be any more indestructable if he was in a tank.

Yes, the biggest issue I have is the unbalanced players. I use Arsenal and people always choose Inter, Barcelona or Man Utd. I get particlarly puzzled when I choose Arsenal and the opponent picks Brazil...twats.

Adriano is ridiculous in the game. But really my bigger complaint is Rio. He can slide tackle, miss, get up again and still beat Henry to the ball...Its like he has an invisble pair of legs that stretch out and just nick the ball at will.

Anyway, if anyone is up for a game just give me a shout. Always looking for fair players.

The teams could do with being given a class, for example all the top teams would be class A and make it so that you could setup the class as an option. That way we wouldn't have to play against Inter/Barca/United or Brazil all the time. Some of the best games i've had are when people pick teams like Valencia/Lyon/Newcastle.

One question I do have is did the last update change the way online ranked matches are decided if someone quits early?

Normally if someone quits early you get a 3-0 victory but recently I had been winning only for my opponent to quit but instead of the victory a 0-0 was the result .

i don't mind any team as much as Inter, at least utd and barca have some defensive frailty, as do brasil, inter just seem invincible. guess it'll be PE7 til that gets resolved.

other thing I've had is I'm convinced I played 2 different people over the weekend, in the first half the guy was invincible as brazil and rattled 5 in against me, then in the 2nd half he was hopeless and I got 3 back.

can't legislate against it but convinced from the method of play (and the fact the gamertag record at that point was played 9 lost 9) that the player got a mate in to boost his record.

either that or I'm terrible (but i was on a 5 streak of wins)

I sometimes do that with my mates, play a half each online. We're all much of a muchness though :/

well someone quit on me last night,and it gave me the 3 - 0 win.So it's definitely still there.
