i just had some ranked online fun. Was a really good experience. I was getting the same error as you guys, but that was when I was trying to join games that had 7/8 players in the lobby. So presumably someone beat me to fill the last slot. I got into every other lobby with less than 7 players....

Got my 1st online chainsaw! Too cool! But someone else chainsawed my ass right after. Kind of a sitting duck standing there chainsawing someone

For all it's details, why is there no splashing sound when you walk/run through water?

yeah, i know what you mean. every quality game seems to have some little detail left to be desired. ever listened to Black, waiting to hear the cartridges falling to ground "cling" noises while emptying a clip?

I wish there was a way to jump over low objects without having to back into them first, in addition to how it currently works. It would be great to be on the move and be able to jump over an object without having to stop first.

A quick double tap of the A button does the same though, without stopping flow of movement too much.

Magnificent game from what I've played so far, couple of questions though;

- is there anyway to skip a custscene (if you have to restart from a checkpoint that follows directly after a cutscene)

The Right trigger (the usual fire button) should do it.

Amazing, this dropped thru my letter box at 11.30 am today I was well chuffed. Had a quick blast thru co-op with chopemon then blasted the single player on casual.

hardcore is quite hard for me, I was getting killed every 2 mins lol.

Thoroughly enjoyable game and Im glad Im not the only one who see's the resemblance with RE4 - whihc is not a bad thing.

Going to pics tonight otherwise would be hammering it all night, bugger!"!

Have to give the ranked matches a go with less full rooms, think that may of been my problem as I was always trying to get a full game. Oh I wish this had matchmaking.

cutscenes can be skipped, took me a while to find but I think it is either X or Y. Will check and confirm later.

I'm finding hardcore really easy now. There are a few difficulty spikes with it early on, but beyond that it's a total walk in the part. You get a lot of extra achievements for playing on hardcore so give it another try!

I see the RE4 links too, although it's a less clever game and more of a straight shooter. Very enjoyable though and the visuals in act 3 are beyond incredible. Best visuals ever, by far. Amazing stuff.

Managed to get into allot more ranked games tonight. Would seem that Momo was right, and you need to select a game with a max of 5/6 players, to stand a chance of getting in. Really enjoying the MP part of the game as well, although there seem to already be allot of good players out there that know all the maps and weapons inside out !

Chapter 4/5 Major Spoilers follow:-

Astounding stuff and a perfect follow on from the Facility / Imulsion fields level. Urban warfare (Gears style) at its finest.

The Torque Bow (a weapon I've fallen in love with) really comes into it's own here. Take aim, notch it, fire and "BOOM BABY!!!"

The bit of charging up the steps to the Fenix Mansion was simply brilliant, and defending the front of the house was blistering too. Watching that Boomer charge the front door was a real "Oh ****!" moment

And the start of Chapter 5 and the train =

Just when you think the visuals and settings in the game can't get any better it pulls the rug out from under your feet.

I've no doubt that I'm going to finish it tomorrow, but when I do I'll be ploughing straight back in.

This game has set a visual benchmark for everyone to try and beat this gen. Even if you don't dig the style, you can't deny that it's one impressive beast to watch and play.

nope. they are loading behind it

unreal 3 has a really nice streaming system and i imagine most unreal games will have unskippable cutscenes done with in game assets to hide loading

Chapter 5 was a winner for me too graphically anyway, plan to replay the game on Insane level, co-op mode
