Two copies of the game? Its supposed to be a extra special features DVD. Are you taking the piss?

simple answer no !! tried phonin microsofts software support line explained this clearly to them and all the idiot was interested in was the health of my 360 which p'd me off.

Got my copy and I?m impressed and both disappointed . Graphics are amazing , but not the massive leap I was lead to believe , Maybe I was expecting too much but this isn't a massive leap over Lost Planet or GRAW. Controls are horrid and broken and spoil what is otherwise a sound game . Why the need to press A to take cover, why the need to press X to pick up ammo are some of the questions I ask my self when playing this , the running system isn?t perfect either , and the AI is a letdown (well its just dull in parts)

Its one amazing ride so far and shows what all 2nd gen 360 games should be looking like , but so far I?m more impressed with F.E.A.R(still the best fire fights amd te best AI I've seen in years) and GRAW (still for me the best game on the 360). I?m also thinking Vegas will be a better game than this .
But I?ve only played a hour or so of it, my view will no doubt change , when the controls finally click (at the mo they?re doing my nut in) and I start to see more of the levels (ORTA got off to a slow start) .

So far a great game, that with luck a sequel will sort out all the tiny troubles, and now that the main engine is done, one with might now to wait years to play.

Oh must say online this is ace too

Got my copy from Gameplay when i got in from work tonight. Spent a couple of hours with it and so far it seems fairly decent.

Just wondering what visual setting people are favouring? I dont have a HD tv, and was finding the default stuff a little bland so am going to have a stint with the vibrant settings now. Better or worse??

You need to give the controls a bit of time. They really are good. I'm surprised actually, I thought you'd be used to broken controls - playing all them Sonic 3D games!!

What if you don't want to go into cover or pick up the ammo?

I personally like only having to press A once to go into cover, if im not mistaken dont you have to hold the trigger in on R6 to stay in cover which is just stupid.

I also dont agree that FEAR fire fights are better, they simply descend into bullet time exhibitions, were as GoW on hard difficulty really are tense and strategic.

Also Lost Planets graphics dont come close to Gears in my opinion, LP seems very dull and rather lacking detail.

Of course Gears is by no means perfect, i agree the controls while running are really poor and the online games arent exactly bug free.

I don't have a problem with the controls, although on the odd ocassion I find myself doing an evading leap rather than taking cover which can be a little annoying.

I think there is a medium learning curve to mastering your soldier. I'd say give it time and practice.

How the hell do i kill ramm? do i have to wait until the bats stop swarming around him? or something else?

What if you don't want to go into cover or pick up the ammo?

If you don't want to go into cover don't get up close to a piller ect, its worked fine for the most in GRAW. As for picking up bullets then don't walk over them, like what happend in almost any other FPS I can think off. And if you had a tidy jump button , one could jump over the ammo . But one has to ask why wouldn't you not want the ammo inthe 1st place (unless in multi player mode )

Sonic hasn't had one button in it for donkeys

Like has been said give the controls time - I was a teeny bit underwhelmed to start with but rip through Act1 Hardcore in co-op mode with someone else and you'll know by the end of that where it's at

Funny there's a few people now who don't seem to be enjoying it whilst everybody else if falling in love with the mechanics/graphics/style - Although I'd say the ratio at the moment must be about 100:1

The versus game is just perfection.

@ Silvergun - Don't know anybody who has had a problem getting into a game - This has to be the finest net-code to grace any console game ever - I think maybe Nige invited you to our game earlier but it might've been full by the time you tried to join !

use the assult rifle to get the bats away from him then either use the sniper or assult rifle, remember to stick to the light if he gets close to the start try blind firing him it works wonders keep at it hes a ****er ft:
