It wasn't that the 'puzzles' in that section were difficult for me to work out, just that the trial-and-error needed to work out the solution reeked of bad game design....
This was thrown around a lot by me sometimes, since the game can be infuriatingly frustrating at times. I made the (stupid) decision to play on God Mode and it took my near-enough twenty-six hours to finish it in the end.

But, when the game "clicks", it's superb. But often, controllers will be thrown in frustration. But, there are solutions to every situation, for example, I spent an age on the part where

there are multiple of those Bee-like creatures spurting fire at you, whilst you've gotta push a level round to grab onto. I didn't realise I could traverse round the walls and take out the hives for a while.

However, there was one part that really, really ****ed me off towards the end... I think the guys here who've finished it must know which part I'm alluding to as well.

Enlighten me, I didn't find the end that hard (playing on normal)

The bit before the battle with the Fat Sister, where you went through about five or six lots of baddies - no save points. Pigging nightmare on Hard.

Ahh that part, didn't find it that hard on normal but then I had a full magic meter and maxed out Chronos Rage to abuse and refill with the QTE deaths

I actually found that ok - top level blades and Rage of Chronos. Plus use traps etc and no concerns.
Nothing like the climb out of Hades on the first one.

              Must be me then.

I cant believe you brought THAT up... I had cleansed my soul of it only recently and now that horrifying experience has all came flooding back, dam you

I didnt find any problems on the afore mentioned section, I must have missed something, hehe.

I know I know - nightmare. HOWEVER. I loved the feeling as the realisation dawned on me about what the Gravedigger was actually doing. That was a cool little story link that almost made it for me. The story is pretty cracking in both these games I think!

Wonder if anyone can help as I'm experiencing a major bug, I'm just at the point where

I use Persues' shield combined with my reflecto ability to reflect those ocular beams blocking off the next area

, only when I try and rotate the switch to raise the bridge, Kratos just falls down dead EVERY TIME, at the exact same angle.

I've tried copying save files, cheating the bug by rotating the switch in quick bursts then letting go, and today I even traded copies at Gamestation. It's still bummed. I think I'm royally danged, but any advice would be muchly appreciated.

I seem to have a knack for buying busted games these days.

Completed this last night and i was a bit disappointed at the ending.

It clearly sets out for a sequel, but i didnt really have any closure as i didnt get to defeat
, which is the point of the whole game (unless im missing something).

It felt a bit like the end of the Matrix 2 or Pirates of the caribbean 2 where you feel like it doesnt end properly.

Ah well, still an amazing game and im glad i borrowed my mates PS2 to play it on!

Dont really know what could be happening for you here as I came across no such bug when dong that section...

You have to put Perseus shield in the arms of a statue that is on the right hand balcony then push it over to the raising platform so it defelcts the other beam of light... then you raise the platform and the statue with the shield will deflect one beam and you quickly get up and deflect the other using the block button and the Golden Fleece.

Thanks man, I was pretty sure that's what I had to do, it's just that when I pull the lever to raise the platform Kratos just drops dead.

No worries, it's pretty much a corrupted save file. I'll just shelf it for now then start from the beginning when I get the GoW urge.

Finally got a PAL copy to play on my PS3.

WOW, pretty much sums it up. The first "level" is incredibly epic.

Knowing there will eventually be a God of War III on the PS3 makes me realise Sony are gonna be okay!

This game is truly exceptional. Even my games-hating missus stops to have a gander when I am playing it. She freaked when I went inside the collossus. So many stunning scenes. What a brilliant effort.
