Finally done it on God Mode, 22 hours it took.

PS2 GOTY? Definitely. GOTY? Perhaps. I really enjoyed it save for maybe

the Clothos Sister run prior to meeting her, where you have to wade through wave after wave of enemies. **** it up, and start again. Frustration personified.

    Brilliant game though.

      Finished! What a game!

Just started another game, and I very rarely replay games. This series is really turning into Sony's number one franchise. Roll on number 3!

I didn't feel compelled to go through it again, only on Titan Mode and the language GM brought I can only imagine the sheer horrors that would await me if I went through with it.

I do agree though, GOW is fastly becoming Sony's franchise and I can't see them stopping at number three either, tbh.

Not played the original,so should i jump straight to this (which is a better game?) or play number 1 first?

Playing the first will give you a better idea of the story, but as a game, the second is my preferred choice.

You've quite a way to go yet mate, that's near enough the beginning if I recall.

Wow, really? I've got something like 6 & a half hours on the clock. I can't be that **** at the game surely?*

                  *although it's a distinct possibility :/

Not quite the beginning but you definitely have a fair distance to go, I'd say that's around a third of the way through the game.

Yeah, the game is about five hours longer than the original.

Thanks chaps. I'm enjoying it a fair bit more than the first game; I find myself integrating magic into battles more than the first - indeed, unleashing Cronos' Rage, then continuing to pound on a pack of unsuspecting nasties is very satisfying.

A word of advice mate; Cronos Rage and the Blades are imperative in this, get those two maxed out and it does make things a tad easier.

I'm now up to Atlas & still having fun. The Perseus fight was a great change in pace I thought - as much fun as it is to wreak havoc on oversized beasties, going mano a mano added a touch of class.

One minor complaint though, that's become more evident as the game gets tougher - mapping that crappy, un-cancellable attack to L1 + Square; if you're just blocking & press square a fraction too early, you jump into that ridiculous attack which just about any enemy in the game can block, then punish you for. Other than that the controls are fine.
